Thanks ever so much! Especially for the sample\template idea. I'm a newbie. I started a bobbin and put it away and can't remember what I was going for, lol. I bought the smaller Nano to see if I like spinning. And I DO!! Bought two inexpensive fleeces with lots of VM. Appreciate you sharing your experience! I always look forward to your videos. 🖖

I dipped my toe into e-spinners with the nano. I really liked it, but I didn’t care for the 2oz bobbins. I got the EEW6.0 last year and I really love it. It’s fast! If you are a new spinner it really cuts down the learning curve. You don’t have to do 3 things at once. No feet! I have a heavily vm’d fleece I scoured. It’s crazy full of wood chips! I am going to put that video up soon!

Yes the little bobbins mean more ends to weave in! I am grateful for the Nano, as I would've been stuck with a drop spindle which i didn't enjoy too much. Agree much easier to learn on an espinner. I am considering the Fold when it comes out.

What a great learning experience! I have recently discovered your podcast and I’m so happy I did! I have seen you check the yarn with the wpi tool and I do know how to use this tool. I might have missed the explanation in a previous episode, but I’m curious how to use the ply angle tool.

So cool! Finally catching up on your videos. My tour de fleece was a bit of a tour de flop, but hey I got one skein of yarn, so no complaints:)!

Would you recommend spinning a minimum of 200 grams if you don’t already have a project in mind?
@jkfiberarts2 ай бұрын
I typically spin 4oz(113g). It also depends on whether I am going to spin it thick or thin. But I buy wholesale now, so I buy many pounds and take what I want. FOTM subscriptions typically have 100-113g in the US. My goal is to have a reason buy a bump! They cost $$$ depending on fiber. 18 mic merino bump is 22lbs and around $1200!!

@@jkfiberarts Thanks. Ery much. I just seem to have lots of 100 gram samples I have spun and nothing to do with them! 🙈

I would spin the 100g for socks! That the perfect amount!
