I needed to change my blades and clean my machine and pulled up your instructions. They were great! I did it, and my machine runs and sounds so much better now!

Oh my God! You are a God send!!! I followed the instruction step by step I started her up and oh my God you were so correct your analogy was spot on. Heard like a kitten but before this baby sounded like a raggedy car ready for the junkyard! Thank you!

Just what I needed today! I was just looking at my serger that a shop said it would cost $125 to replace the cutters. I said "NO THANK YOU, I"LL TAKE IT BACK HOME"! Thanks Ny, we LOVE you!

I was at Joann's once looking at sergers and an elderly lady came in w her serger (just basic) and asked the clerk to thread the needles for her bc she had arthritis and vision problems. The clerk said the charge would be $87.00 (this was very long ago!). After I picked myself up off the floor, I told her I would thread the needles for her wo charge as I had a serger like hers and knew how to do it. The clerk then said, oh never mind I'll just do it for you. I'm not against ppl making money, even a ton of money, but don't be ripping off nice old ladies or disabled ppl to do it.😡

Oh girl, you literally had me in stitches (pardon my pun) while I got 100% good direction regarding the dreaded changing of the blades act. OMG I'm so much less fearful now. Thank you thank you. You're my kinda gal, and I'll say right now that if I get my baby girl serger up and running with new knives, I'll buy you a drink. (Hope you live close) -- haha thank you for your well placed levity and your incredible skills as a sewing machine mechanic teacher. Rock on... And that's what SHE said!

Very helpful and funny to watch :). I don't know whether I'll just use my serger to sew seams and have the knife disengaged all the time...just so I don't have to replace the knife blades...I'm THAT lazy lol. I don't know if it makes much difference using the knife or not - I need to experiment - but I now feel more confident in knowing how to replace the blades after watching your video - thank you x

What an example! We know we should clean/oil our machines at least between each project. Depending on the material and thread I am using…well, keep a one inch real bristle paint brush or a stiff stencil brush handy and keep it clean as you go. The ‘fuzz’ builds quick! Great video!

Hello, anyone have experience with the top knife disconnecting for no reason? I have cleaned the machine as per the video and found this loose piece although I imagined it because it something that keeps happening with a lot of frequency and tired of spending time and money for this repair. I can't see where it has fallen from, can anyone help me. It is the piece that has a hook on top and a small hole for a screw or something at the bottom. Thanks
