How to change keyboard sounds with the Roland X6 drum pads (dynamic pad bank)

How did you assign? So that they are all apart of par 1,2,3 etc.

The keyboard has 16 MIDI channels (one per track). in your Mixer/Sequencer window its numbered 1-16 from top to bottom - the sounds are automatically assigned 1-16. You can create a blank song (or multi mode set) with your 16 selected sounds,

The other option is to set them to the midi channel intentionally. For instance - do you want sounds one and two playing simultaneously? set both sounds 1&2 to the same MidiChannel. (Say midi channel 2). Whenever you select drumPad 2 in the quick select Mode, your two instrument patches will be available on the keys. The only limitation is you only have 16 total patches to mix and match this way. On the later iterations of Fantom keyboards, you now have 16 Keyboard Groups which mix and match any of the 16 patches giving you more layering options. But for the sake of having one patch at a time that you can quickly switch between 16 sounds for a given, show - This keyboard is seamless.

If I recall the Fantom S does a similar feature using just the 8 Zone buttons rather than the drum pads.

@@how2playgospel not working 😭 8 buttons (under the display) are not for Part Selection, they are Function Buttons like fantom X or G. We can assign favourite sounds in PATCH mode. Bt can't use as PART SELECTION in Performance mode. Fantom XA, Juno D, XP 30 has this feature to select part with 8 buttons under the display.

I just looked at your pDF instruction manual( cdn.Roland.com/assets/media/pdf/FANTOM-S_S88_OM.pdf) - on page 28, your approach would be using the F1-F8 keys to select your favorite 8 Patches.

Thank you for your time , this feature is available for Patch only, Bt I am asking for quick selection of different 16 Parts of a Performance. (Like - XP60's Buttons, X6's Dynamic Pads)
