Thanks for the video. A few suggestions: The drain bolt washer must be replaced every oil change. The torque specification for the drain bolt is 30 lbs. After the oil filter has been installed by hand, the torque specification for the oil filter is 9 lbs.

dj deito, thanks for those torque specs! I knew the one for the drain plug, but wasn’t sure about the filter. Typically I just tighten 3/4 turn after the gasket makes contact with the engine block, but I’m gonna test that 9 ft-lbs next time. Thx! 😃👍🏼

@@carlovanrijk4039 3/4 turn after the gasket makes contact with the engine block is also acceptable by Honda, in fact, some genuine Honda oil filters have several triangle marks printed on them to indicate 3/4 turn after the filter gasket makes contact with the engine block. 9 lbs. of torque or 3/4 turn method is acceptable according to the Honda Engine Oil filter replacement instructions.

I’ve done my oil since a teenager and I’ve never used any kind of torque etc. I guess for a novice it might be ok. I’m just watching because I’m thinking about getting one and want to know where the plug and filter are located.

Great video, watching this because the warranty on my accord is out. Gonna do an oil change myself and take it in for a rotation 👌🏼

The maroons that do it for my sister's car at the dealership where she bought the car from either forgot to properly put back on the fasteners/screws that hold the heat shield onto the car. Today after work she texts us pictures of the heat shield being only held by a couple bolts up at the front. Because she noticed a weird sound as she drove home. Soon as I get home and look under the car I discover that it's missing 4 of the bolts and one screw that are supposed to hold the heat shield on. Whatever maroon that did the oil change for her needs to be fired immediately and never be let anywhere near a car. They should all be made to watch your video multiple times before having them work on any customer's car.

Wally World oil change center did the same thing to my ‘17 Civic. Got so tired of it that I decided to do the oil changes myself instead.

She’s better off finding a family owned shop where making mistakes cost them a livelihood. So, they tend to take better care of your car. If you have any country boys who work on cars nearby, they tend to do better too.
