Thank you! I got a ‘23 XL in Dec…it’s a nice little truck! I may go full-synthetic because of the turbo…haven’t decided yet. Also, I’ll probably do the 1st oil change at 1,000 miles right after break-in.

Not sure if it’s because I have the Tremor model but there is no room to get any sort of tool in there to get the filter out. Best solution was to go get a oil filter cup and a ratchet with a extension. Hope this helps.

for those doing their own oil changes and dont have a torque wrench use a marker and put 2 dots one on the bolt on the pan next to each other, line them up should be close enough but use a box end wrench so you can see the marks and go slowly

Footpath Junkies --- I know, it's been a year.. You don't need to turn the tires...I just used long extensions, a 74.5 mm diameter oil filter socket with a 3/8 drive square hole in the center of it.... Add a small flexible socket part, the filter remover, snake this all the way up to the sideways filter, push it on, turn to the left.. I also use this to final tighten the new oil filter that I prefilled, .. The ford box for this F910S oil filter says to tighten 3/4 more after it engages the engine.. This is on a 2022 Ranger Lariat..

Great video! Doing my 1st LOF on mine today...As much as a pain in the A** as vehicles have become I keep doing most of my maintenance b/c I've had too many instances where b/c of weather, work schedule etc I take it in: make appointment in advance, sit and wait, have some Shi* Weasel try and sell me a mud flap rotation, nitrogen in my tires, etc. Get home and find out the oil cap is missing [oil all over engine bay], bent pinch weld, hanging deflector [missing bolts], over/under filled oil, interior dirty at door/steering wheel/arm rest. Stripped lug nuts, lugs WAY over torqued...so its sadly just easier to do it myself. I have had a few really good service experiences at private shops as well as dealerships. I grew up in automotive, in HS we would get reemed if we did not put a plastic seat & wheel cover w/paper floor mat in a car before we got in it. If we were dirty we would ask one of the cleaner guys or one of the bosses/writers up front [those sally's never got dirty] to pull it out. I was a kid then BUT we gave a Shi*... It was not uncommon to get a bunch of tips from customers, we could always tell a car 'guy' or 'girl'. Well kept car, clean etc. those folks appreciated good service and would slip you a few x-bucks on their way out. THOSE DAYS ARE PRETTY MUCH OVER.
