I went onto the NGK plug finder online and found the ILTR5A-13G are the NGK replacements, as someone else said, not cheap per set of 4 but they last well. They're iridium and the car had a set of copper core ones in. The MPG has gone up a bit, averaging 35.7 up from 32 for the same route each day. Although they were more expensive, I've heard good reports about them. They came out easy enough but weren't in great condition, they looked like yours did on the video, I think the car runs smoother as well. Just for good measure I applied a very small bit of anti seize copper grease around the thread to make extraction easier.

It's isn't fully the company that's the big change, it's the plug itself. There are plenty of options out there. (NGK are the best ones). Iridium's will be more expensive, they work the best. I don't blame or shame anybody who can't afford Iridiums, If the engine misfires and you need to fix it asap with a small budget, I get that.

The spark plugs you have are special for LPG/CNG cars. The original spark plugs are NGK ILTR5A13G. I have a mazda 6 2.5 from 2008 and when i search on plate number I get your spark plugs too and many others, but the originals are the NGK as named above.

It's choose your company and grade of the plug. I have no problems with the spark plugs, and the engine runs sweet.

that oil on the spark plug means you need a new valve cover gasket. make sure to change it

Klavs, you are amazing! Thank you for all your videos. I have learned a lot from you. I am new to driving a Mazda 6 GH 2010 1.8L Benzin. Yesterday, while driving on the highway, the motor lamp started blinking, and the car began shaking. I also noticed that the motor torque was very weak. I think it may be due to the spark plugs. The spark plugs you used have a thread length of 25mm, but I believe what I need is a thread length of 17.5mm. Is this correct? I tried searching the internet for recommended values, but I couldn't find any.

Thank you. I'm glad that the videos can help you understand and make it easier for you to work on your car. 👍 You are correct 1.8 L Benzin/ petrol engine needs a 17.5 mm thread length spark plug. It's possible that a coil has died, and you are running on 3 cylinders. Without a scan tool is a guessing game.

You can reference the old spark plugs, take out the old spark plug and measure the thread, then you will be 100% sure you get the right spark plug.
