How do I know I reached ride hight with the jack to torque the arm bolt back? Great video. I have used many of your videos before to fix my 203.

Before starting work, when the car is still on wheels, you can measure the distance from the center of the wheel to the wheel arch on the wing.
@themitch19736 жыл бұрын
Great video really clear angles. You show the proper sequence of doing it which is 95% the main hassle if u have not done it before. The other 5% is usual removing/fitting bolts, parts etc. Saved me a small fortune seeing the correc sequence of doing it. Thank you ! :) Whats the chances of showing a video removing the DPF and replacing the engine core plug above it ? Its a common one on the W03s for leaking and needing replaced.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your nice comment, it is very important to us. You are absolutely right that there may be difficulties in car parts replacement and that the dismantling takes most of the procedure time. Watch out for our upgrades. Superb video and visuals of where to disconnect and mount. What was your rule of measure to determine how much jack pressure to put on the suspension to simulate the control arm under weight before torqueing it down?
@autodocuk6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback! We are happy that you like our video. Before lifting the car, we just measured the distance from the wheel up to the edge of the wheel arch. After this , when doing control torquing, we just simulated the load under our own weight, having lifted the wheel up to the same distance. Best regards, Autodoc.

How much is the labour cost to replace suspension lower arms on both side?..and I didn’t see you using any torque wrench? 🤔
@autodocuk8 ай бұрын
We do not provide repair services and we recommend that you consult your mechanic. You are absolutely right and in practice it is required to use a torque wrench and observe the appropriate tightening torques.

Just change lower suspension arm on my mercedes clc 220 CDI 2008. Straight forward if you have a 21mm comp spanner & a ball joint splitter. I recommend SAS Universal Maintenance Spray Car Motorbike Penetrating Lube WD 500ml. put it on an hour before release.

Hi .. Did you had to compress the coil spring in order to get the strut loose .?? I will like to know Thank you for the video
@MoJoeRyhsen8 жыл бұрын
You need a spring compressor. Most shops that do suspensions have these mounted to the wall but you can buy/rent spring compressors from most parts stores. If you've never done it before be EXTREMELY careful. It can be very dangerous as the springs are under heavy load when compressed.

The large bolt securing the arm should only be tightened when 4 wheels are on the ground otherwise the bush will wear prematurely dud the the stress of nit being in the correct position.
@autodocuk4 жыл бұрын
