When adding the fluid back in, the transmission fluid temperature needs to be around 130 degrees Fahrenheit ( run the engine) then close the drain plug while it is dribbling out.

Then how does it stay lubricant without oil?

So your saying the new transmission fluid needs to be 130° when you're pouring it in? Or the gauge reading needs to be at 130° for what fluid remained in the system?
