My head is about 59cm and it is betwen sizes of the helmet brand i'm lookin to buy(Medium 55-59 ; large 59-62). Is there any tips on why I should buy the smalle or the bigger one?

Unfortunately in that case you just need to try them both on to see which one fits you better.

​@@No_Prob_Llama if you're in between sizes, you're probably the bigger size. But your best bet is to try both on. I measure as the top range of medium in Smith helmets but it's just a touch too small. Large fits perfectly esp once I tighten the BOA

What about removing all the inserts and then put beanie? I have Smith Scout MIPS and wear it without a beanie under - the only way to fit that helmet over beanie is to remove the padding which is designed that you can take it away.

Removing the lining (especially with a MIPS system) is going to make the helmet not fit and work properly even if you add a standard beanie. The lining is attached directly to the MIPS system so it can fit snug with your head, be comfortable, and move with your head in the event that you hit your helmet while riding. Just like Matt said in the video, if you need any extra warmth you will want to get one of those thinner "helmet beanies" that are specifically designed to go under a helmet.
