@@JustinLT212 They just have to see that it's there once you put a blanking plate on it they won't know because it won't show on the emissions test as VW had gotten away with it for years!!!

Oh wow the jerking is real in the used VW Golf SDI 06 I recently bought. Especially first and second gear, every pedal press or release is felt depending on speed. In low RPMs its smooth but anything above 2000 (which is where the power delivery actually begins for an SDI) I get massive jerks. Aside from the P2108 code I got (throttle body is clean) I think the EGR is the n.2 issue.

It turns out the jerking is either worn clutch or worn flywheel, was at garage because DIYing it was impossible (thanks prev owners) and they said flywheel is fine but clutch was replaced. Long version: I got rid of P2108 by replacing the throttle body with another used unit. EGR was filthy, cleaned, and after a short time period was filthy again, I gave up and didn't clean until today, and no adverse effects. It smokes like hell on high RPM (over 3000) but I guess its because a bunch of problems (over 700k km, probably dead/clogged cat converter, dirty intake never got to clean it yet, PD injector units at least on cyl #1 is having a massive fuel trim compensation (negative value) and could use a disassembly+cleaning)

Not sure if it's really needed, but diagnostic tools such as FORScan for FORD has these "reset adaptation" option. I think they meant this. But not sure it needs this, the car will re-learn the positions by itself I believe.

Depending on type of your engine.. 1h max for 1.9 77kw PD.. for this one maybe 45min.. you have 4-5 bolts and thats all.. you just need some brake cleaner,screwdriver to remove larger carbon pieces and toothbrush.

How about trying to make a video of someone changing this egr valve that's not in a perfect world. It's not the same egr setup as mine thats for sure because the entire egr cooler has to be removed to get to all the bolts

Music is annoying as hell. As for the part you left out so much work that's involved. You just don't take the egr valve off the car it's not that easy. The egr cooler and egr and the throttle body are all three bolted as 1 unit. There's hidden bolts that you can't see unless one of these parts are removed and you can't do that unless you take all three parts out as a whole then disassemble them. You video only makes half sense.
