My grinder goes 3-4 clicks beyond 0, I just got it new. at around 0 you start to feel some resistance in the burrs tho... 1zPresso says 0 should be the point where you start to feel resistance, not the point where you cannot turn the dial further. Any idea if I should recalibrate my grinder to the point where I cannot turn the dial further? Or if its good like this?
@mycoffeeshow11118 күн бұрын
@@ronrasner5267 the important thing is that you always calibrate it the same way otherwise your grind settings can change after each cleaning.

Helloo! Which 1zpresso would you recommend me to pour over (french press, moka pot) and maybe some day espresso?

Hi, ZP6 would be great but not for espresso. K Ultra works nicely for all brew methods.
@Francois_Dupont9 ай бұрын
if i were to summit a video idea, could it be possible to blind taste test espresso using a "chilling ball" or whatever its called. i saw it online, its a heavy metal ball that is frozen and the coffee is dripped onto it in order to cool it down. i mainly drink iced milk espresso so i think it will be a very good idea instead of waiting for the normal espresso to cool down. i dont want your to waste your money buying a "special" metal ball for it. maybe you could use some whiskey stone or something as a replacement.

Hi Jack, out of curiosity what setting do you usually use for the irea abd v60 on the k ultra

Just had the same issue after cleaning. I disassembled it and positioned the bigger ring (the one touching the spring) just as in the video (I had it with the "lips" or higher parts downward touching the spring, when they should be up, away from the spring). Then I got the spinning back to being as fluent as when new.

I don't get the whole calibration thing. How can it ever not be on 0? it spins both ways and with small increments, you just turn it until the 0 aligns with the white dot. In the video you just seem to have stopped before going to 0, why?
@mycoffeeshow1113 ай бұрын
@@oniadrian just think about it as if you were thightening the screw. If you do it too tight or not tight enough the grind indicator can end up on either side of 0 at the lowest point.

@@george5120 hi, if you watch carefully I explain everything 😛 when you calibrate you use the calibration ring which when you rotate it gives impression of clicks. As for direction, if your new 0 is above 0 you turn the calibration ring anti clockwise.
