What was the symptoms leading you to the erg valve. I have no warning light up but ive befn told its the erg valve. Our van smokes like hell for about a mile then gradually dissappears.

Hi the symptoms in this case were erratic idle , cutting out when slowing down and rough starting

if this works.. you should see a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust.. and whot does it do to the dpf and catalysator???

It cleared the Iveco EGR valve and 2.5 years later no problem , we are doing a Mercedes GL320 video soon on cleaning the EGR

Hi James , to strip the EGR valve and clean it would have been approx £200 to £250 due to labour costs involved , a new replacement EGR was approx £450 to £500 supplied and fitted , so we thought it was worth a try with the EGR spray cleaner and thankfully it worked and is still clear to date

Should i spray the whole can in it ?

Hi , we used the whole can as it was a large 2.3 litre Diesel Engine and 2 years on the van is still running fine without any EGR problems

Mine is also a iveco 2.3 140hp . EGR problem started after the EGR valve and cooler being replaced due to a leak on the exhaust side . Now replaced the vacuum solenoid and some hoses and a map sensor so only thing left i guess ,is cleaning the intake .

@@JoeBaR-202 It's worth a go as the can is not expensive to buy , but do take the van for a drive at higher Revs to blow the residue out of the exhaust after you have sprayed it

EGR valve needs to remove for correct cleaning, expensive sprays only they delay removal of EGR valve !!
