Thank you for the video. I am curious as to the best practice when doing iPad repairs where you are replacing a battery and you need to salvage the screen. How do you go about removing the old adhesive and cleaning the digi?

For the digitizer I'd recommend isopropyl alcohol, followed by some standard screen cleaner with a microfiber cleaning cloth to get the job done. For removing adhesive my personal method is to heat the adhesive enough to start melting, and using a syringe to drip isopropyl alcohol on it. As you do that, use a normal cloth rag or napkin to roll the adhesive and clump it all together. This works especially well with broken screens, as the fiberglass shards get rolled up in the adhesive, leaving your iPad cleaner than it'd otherwise be. Once you've got it all rolled up, use some tweezers to pick the clumps out. Rinse and repeat until it's glue-free.

I have an older Ipad Air 2 that had a battery replaced. Fast forward a year and the glass has separated from the case. I see on your video you show us how to remove adhesive from bezel so a new adhesive can be applied. What needs to be done to remove adhesive pieces from the glass itself before applying new adhesive? Do you have a video of that?

I found using a model making scalpel was also very effective.

How do you go about cleaning/prepping the glass/digitizer? I'll definitely try the dry razor method next iPad I get for the bezel!

Nearly all the screens we use have Tesa Tape preinstalled. If it doesnt, then we apply primer to the inside of the glass where the adhesive will go.

Sir is it safe to wipe and clean the iPad lcd with cotton with alcohol?

Yes, I've done it before with zero problems.

I'm cringing at using razor blades instead of plastic razors to remove the glue. But it's still a good technique for maybe a plastic substitute.

@@profixerr6275 it's so hard to keep it all neat when you're slammed all the time. I feel ya! Not too thrilled with how my shop looked when I called it quits tonight lol.

what about kerosene, does it play nice with the material?

Would NOT recommend acetone, especially in a video for the public like this. Acetone eats away plastic (including parts of the PCB), if anyone makes the smallest mistake and gets any acetone wicking off the metal frame and onto the plastic/PCB parts, it's game over.
