That all looks fine, but when I undo the filter cap, the filter itself doesn't come out. Just the cap comes off. Do I just pull out the filter with pliers?

That sounds a bit strange. Perhaps you need a Miele mechanic to come and check it 🤔

If only it were that easy. Most people do not have their washing on a shelf like yours. Mine is on the floor and trying to find a shallow enough dish to catch the water (and there is lots of water) is not easy. After all the faffing around not a single grain of fluff was found which makes me think it is either not working, or there's no need to do it

I use an inexpensive cookie baking sheet that I have set aside for this purpose (never bake with it).

do i need to empty it most of the time? everytime i use it? or one time a week? or when i have washed more often then that's the time i will open it? no idea really

I only check mine 2 or 3 times a year and there is never anything there to clean out

I use a cooking sheet and a towel. Do not wait six months to do it. I checked the filter once a month.

Why not tell people to also wipe out the “tunnel” that the filter comes out off? Mine was grey with fabric fluff and there’s also a little hole on the right of the tunnel that brings the water in and I cleaned that out with my finger!

The manual says to clean the water inlet filter and valve every six months and it looks much more complicated than this. Do you have a video for that?

panel door will not open. no push/handle to open it with

Inside your detergent drawer, hidden at the back is an orange tool like a small spatula. Pop it at the side or top of the panel door - depending on your model - and use it as a lever to click the panel door open. It’s taken me a few years to sort this! When you unscrew the filter, stinky water might gush out so have a container beneath! 😁

Does anyone else find that the door flap does not connect on one side - the knobby bit does not go in the hole, but it does close okay? You will only know what I’m talking about if your flap does the same.

I’m getting a Miele wwd120 machine. I want to set a buzzer at the end of cycles how do I do this? Also can I set the screen to always stay on instead of dimming?

@@shakia000 I contacted miele they said it has no buzzer which is so unfortunate I paid over $1,000 lol to not have a buzzer at the end of the cycle on a 8kg washing machine. I’ll say the cycles are far too long on cottons etc way longer than an hour or 2. Won’t be using them I’ll stick to delicates for my linen bedding and quick 20 min wash or 30 for my clothing. And for towels I’ll have to check but the cycles are far too long 2 hours?! Who has time. 50 min is perfect That’s not an option here. Shame there’s no buzzer on my model and functions are toooooo long apart from the quick 20 30 min 50 min would be great but no every other cycle is over 1 bloody hour! Even 2.

I have the WCA 020. Not having a buzzer is the only thing I dislike about it. The long cycles are annoying but for a single person like myself, it’s not too bad.

@@Ohkeh640 Unfortunately now a 1000$ is only a basic entry level machine .If you want more you may spend double that.
