Magic erasers are NOT SAFE to use on car seats because the additives in it, only baby soap and a damp cloth.

It’s been a few years sense I had this seat, but there should be a red button you push in that is on the back side of the car seat

I just soaked mine in bleach and stain remover. Pulled them out as far as I could and draped them into the kitchen sink. 3 hours later they were clean 🙂

Hi. CPST here. For future reference, you should never use bleach or any cleaning chemicals on the car seat straps because they can affect the integrity of the straps in an accident.

Omg thank you for this video! I bought this exact car seat same colors and all at a yard sale and the straps were a little dirty but for $25 for the seat base and stroller i couldn't pass up on the deal! 😊

Kaitlyn It was my neighbors yard sale she never got in an accident so yes it’s perfectly safe. Besides my son got 5 months use out of it before I switched him to a brand new bigger car seat. Im a mom of 5 kids my oldest is almost 15 they are all well and healthy.

@@kaitlyn563 of course it is as long as all the parts n straps are there it's perfectly safe, so don't deter people from tryna buy second hand cause you talking out your ass n have no clue. Not everyone has money for brand new gear

No they cannot . Straps cannot be submerged in water . Ever .

@@UmmD93I am a CPST and she is correct that the strap should not be submerged in water nor should any cleaning product he used on them as they may break down the integrity of the straps which can result in them failing during an accident. There is a big difference between spit up and being soaked in soap and water.
