For the real hard bash sessions I give mine a Epsom salt bubble bath and soak it for 30 minutes. Then massage it with a Theragun and finish it off with lavender scented essential oils.

Awesome job thank you. I tell people this exact same thing at my shop all the time. Everyone is always asking how do i clean them. I always recommend compressed air wd-40 and a good wash. If the electronics aren't water resistant then i tell them compressed air and a dry brush and WD-40 around the bearings. Great video.

Definitely recommend an air compressor for all RC’s but I only use the garden hose(low pressure nozzle) on my crawlers being careful not to directly blast the receiver box. After that I use a few bristle brushed (various stiffness) and then back to the air compressor for a final cleaning and then I wipe down and dry with an old towel or paper towels then let them sit in the sun(when possible) for 30 minutes. After final inspection they go back on the shelf where each one has a stand to keep the tires lifted to prevent flat spots.

For those of you without a compressor, 2 great alternatives (though not as powerful, but almost for this purpose): i) ED-500 electric blower (MetroVac), which is amazing to have around the house anyway, and ii) cordless leaf blower with a reducer nozzle.

I've been spraying them down with Simple Green and letting it soak for a few minutes. Then just brush and wipe if there is not much mud. A friend starts with WD-40 every time with no water at all and swears it doesn't collect as much dirt next time. It sure makes his tires look good but he seems to have problems with electronics and servos but he does use a lot of 'inexpensive' off brand stuff. I've never used Lexan Spray. Need to get some.

There definitely is a lot to be said to how we treat are little guys after a bash. I know they are just objects but they will be happy after a bath and less chances those bearings will get gritty. That air gun is nice, mine keeps letting out air. If you guys have the chance to reply let me know where you picked it up from. Great video.

I always follow the same routine. first a bath and scrub with Simple Green and brushes, remove wheels, clean and dry wheel hubs and suspension parts, then rinse clean and dry with my air compressor and microfiber cloths, visual inspection of all chassis, suspension, electronics and cables, clean and wax(when necessary) body, and I like to dress my wheels with a nice shine, do a circle screw and nut check after reassembly, and it's ready for the next crawl/bash.

I try to use air as much as I can but if the car gets wet driving or needs water for washing I use WD40 after the water then after that sits for a bit I use denatured alcohol in a squirt bottle to help wash that away. Lots of air after all the steps to remove any excess of anything and dry everything off. You just have to be careful near adhesives and electronics with cleaning stuff.

I have taken all the electronics out of the car and cleaned them as best as I can but the motor makes a weird beeping noise ( the motor is from the kit) does that mean I will have to buy a new motor? the RC car is a Tamiya TT-01 type-E Reinert MAN racing truck. the only upgrades I have done to the car are an aluminium drive shaft, metal motor mount, bearings and a 25T pinion and a 55T spur gear. the transmitter is a Flysky GT-3B and the transmitter is an FS-GR3E.

Just spray a water over cvd joints to wash away dirt, blow with air and apply wax based grease. Done. once an awhile, more detailed bath, especially if do repairs or maintenance - don't want dirt on bench. otherwise is it not shelf queen, don't want to spend hours on it. For transportation I just just huge plastic box from walmsrt, so all dirt, mud stays there. Oh, agree, always dry it. If it is wet, always hang against fan or dehumidifier outlet.

Also, and perhaps it's just me, that TurtleWax (Hybrid Solutions) Ceramic Spray Coating is VERY expensive to be used on RC bodies, especially bashers/crawlers - it's like putting lipstick on a pig. A better alternative is the cheapest Meguiars 'Quik Wax' you can find.

I think Meguiar's quik wax and Turtle Hybrid Ceramic are in the same price point ($14-16). The other pricier professional grade ceramic coatings comes in a small tiny bottle. Either way, I never thought of using these products on a lexan body...I might have to give it a try.
