Our mini Schnauzer has black nails. You can not even see the vein with a flashlight. He was badly clipped his first time with a groomer that caused him to bleed. Since then, he has to have the vet do his nails while he is sedated. How do you care for nails like his at home?

Hello Melanie, I have two Lowchen and they are both in a lion clip. It is really hard to find informative videos on how to clip Lowchen. I have been applying your techniques for poodles and Bichon for pads and around eyes. Thank you for all your tips and if you ever do a Lowchen in the traditional lion clip I would love to see it. P.s. we love the Melanie Newman product range.

Hi Melanie, thank you so much for providing these informative and helpful videos to enable us to care for our fur babies. I wonder if you might be able to suggest a good pair of trimmers for the overall coat. I have my babies groomed professionally but I have needed to stretch this out and do some in-between grooming myself. There are so many on the market and I have no idea which is the best. I have a cavoodle and also a shitzu/cav (both are 9 years old). Again thank you so much.

how to you teach him to lie down? Id assume, you taugh him "down" first and then transfered that over to the groooming table?

I would keep placing him gently on his side and reward him, I would do this daily with him on the grooming table.
