Some PS2 to HDMI converters have an additional usb mini power socket on the side that you plug a usb cable into at one end and the other into one of the USB ports at the front of the PS2. This will power up the converter and make the conversion - works for me anyway.

I am able to configure the RGB/Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr on the PS2 menu. I can also adjust the toggle switch on the BitFunx adapter as well. When I choose to start the game (any game) it goes to the Playstation splash screen, it goes black, and then it goes immediately to my LG "No Signal" screen. Nothing

🙂 I don't have the hdmi adapter for my PS2 slim, but I do have a component cable instead. 🙂 I, have connect one end of the cable at the back of my PS2 slim and the other end to my HDTV. 🙂 I, have turned on my TV, switch the input to YPBPR mode, turn my PS2 slim on and the picture quality, (plus the sound) is nice.

Hi, I have a PAL PS2 and bought an Hyperkin PS2 to HDMI converter (the one with the switch for the aspect ratio). The first time, I use the composite cable for set up the PS2 on RGB and clearly follow the step by step guide but it doesn't work, only the stable red light when plugged to external power supply (5V-1A). I so tried to make the "blind" modifies (with the no signal screen) changing both the ps2 video aspect settings and the color profile to Y Cr Cb. Made every possible combination but nothing to do, still doesn't work. What can I do? It's my TV fault? I have an Hisense Vidaa H55B7120. Thanks and have a nice day!

I changed the video output on my ps2 to the ybpb option but still dont get any image, it works on my 40 inch tv but does not work on my personal monitor wich is a 1080p 27 inch, any solution to this problem 😅😅😅

Hey! Sorry to hear you’re having troubles. Can you try connecting to a different TV/Monitor? Or trying a different HDMI port if possible? I would also test using a different HDMI cable as well. Let’s go through some troubleshooting to isolate the issue.

My tv does this too. Its because Ps1 games run at 240p. I dont think many (if any) Tvs support resolutions lower than 480p.. So thats the catchhh. So I use my ps3 to play my ps1 games on my hd tv, its a slight inconvenience, but its much cheaper than getting a framemeister or something

@@WusijiDoctor I was able to get it to work. Turns out the adapter he uses in the video is strictly for ps2 to hdmi. It will not work for ps1 games. You have to get an adapter that is for ps1 & ps2 to hdmi. I was able to find a $30 adapter on Amazon that works perfectly.
