The one takes!?!?!?!?!?! I've got a feeling this style of content is next. No music, no fancy effects, just well delivered one takes.
@bharatbhaskaronkarnath5 ай бұрын
there's no background music? it feels raw & authentic like you're sharing ideas personally with me rather than it being a performance like a lot of videos have become these days where I feel like I'm watching something manufactured with thousands of people which is true as I'm the part of audience. but your videos hit different thank you.

I am loving these videos + these ideas, Jay!!! Thank you for making them. Volume has been the only way I've been able to tackle my ideation process as well but I find that I put a ton of pressure on the idea and finding 'the perfect' idea before I begin executing on them. So having a mission statement is super helpful!

Hey Jay, I'm loving your videos! I was wondering if you had any tips for being so natural on camera? The way you film these and have so few (if any) cuts makes it much easier to follow and connect with what you're saying. Do you write a script or improvise and does it take many takes? Do you have any tips on how to hone this skill?

My thinking around ideas currently is that people want you to show them something interesting that they might not have seen before. The problem is, how do I do that without an insane title or mrbeastified elevator pitch title. I actually considered eating only [redacted, because someone will actually do it] for a week. Not only is that not me, but it is not even something that I'd watch. It provides almost no value besides cheap entertainment. I have tonnes of ideas, but I feel like the ideas started from a crazy title as opposed to something cool that I want to show the world. I guess I watched too many videos on how to beat the algorithm. Anyway, great video. I definitely need to rethink how I formulate ideas.

Hey jay! You could do an idea collection database like I have in Notion. I have one where I just throw random video ideas. Linked to that is one with thumbnails and video titles I’ve saved from other creators. You can categorise them and link the video and all that. Works very well
