Playstation 3 was the same way. It's not harmonys fault. Sony has historically made it more and more difficult for universal remotes to be compatible. Another reason it's not easy to do is why I made this how to video.hope that helps

Yes for working with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation five it’s a must. without the PDP you can’t turn on the PlayStation and hope that helps and hope you have a good day

With my Harmony controller resently updated, I can turn on and off and navigate PS3 with the bluetooth adapter. But a few days or weeks after Harmony is updated, I can't turn it off... Always have to find the PS button then, and do it as before😅 Had this issue with Harmony One, and now with Harmony 950. The controlling through hdmi I have done before. But sometimes, and specially with PS4, and later PS4 Pro, it get some other issues, that I don't remember right now. Just want an adapter to work with PS4 too (not sure if I tried the adapter to PS3 on PS4, I may try it later, but I still need one more adapter), while PS5 have IR build in.

@@LoganDunning I finally remember with the hdmi control, and controlling PS4 with the TV controller, it can jump twice over the icons on the start screen. The tech behind it is clever, but it isn't optimal for controlling with TV controller. Besides that I've a Samsung TV. Also controlling with Lohitech controller through TV and to PS4, it is the same issue. That's why I don't use the hdmi system for the remote. Just need that adapter for Playstation, then the remote may work as best.

There’s a different adaptor for PlayStation 3. But if you get the harmony ultimate or elite home hub it works out of the box with PlayStation 3

for PlayStation 4 you need to have a harmony hub that supports Bluetooth and blasters. hope that helps

I can confirm that with the PDP IR Receiver, it does. I just paired the PDP IR Receiver with my 665 (the former of which just got delivered to me today). I did have to modify the buttons manually after adding this to my existing PS4 activity (probably since this was an existing activity programmed to get to the right input on my PS4), but it looks like everything is working on my end.

The ps4 works with out this adapter all you have to do is Bluetooth the remote with the ps4 it turns on and off the ps4 and scrolls everything perfectly when you get into the apps like Amazon prime and Hulu you have to use the ps4 remote This adapter I used on my ps3 because it wasn’t Bluetooth capable How ever the harmony elite and ultimate are Bluetooth capable and connect to ps4 Don’t waste your money

You need the adapter to connect to ps3/ps4/ps5. This is why logitech official and pdp manufactured these devices. Do you have a link to a video that proves otherwise?
