After watching your video and analyzing the exploded view on Traxxas’ site, seems all I need is the front body mount plus body. You saved me a lot of $$$!

and here i am in the thought of converting my slash in to a bandit chassie and body but still use slash arms and occasionally slash wheels when its not used on astro then im going for shumacher mezzo and cutstager tyres. and for snow some paddle tyres at the back.

Are you able to convert a 2wd rustler to 4wd?? That would be the most epic video ever!! Ik there is a Rustler 4x4 Chassis, should be possible? Let me know! Would love to see

No basically the only thing they have in common is the electronics and the shocks all the other parts are different so it wouldn't really work out. Traxxas used to sell a stampede 4x4 roller kit and ive seen it advertised as a 4x4 conversion kit. Along time ago before there was a stampede 4x4 I tried to make one from 2 stampedes using the transmissions on the front and rear but I couldn't get it figured out for the front steering with the axles. So it never got finished and is long gone now.

I did that. Its super simple. Just get the 2wd LCG Chassis and you are good.

@@brentmccaig3192 I did ended making a video how to convert a rustler into a slash. I don't know how well 3d printed parts would hold up for suspension parts. But I'm sure its possible. I would love to get a 3d printer someday but i think designing the parts would be hard to do at least for me.

Wow that's quite a bit my buddy did it but kept the bandit body and changed everything else out to save some money whats funny is I told him to buy a Rustler originally but he didn't listen lol

@@OverBudgetRC haha that's pretty funny. The wheels price wasn't even included, so with wheels it would be more like 180 ish. So yea buying a new one would be better than building from scratch. Keep the motor, body, and other key parts and you'll save some money. Also, a new rustler is pretty pricy.
