In high school, my best friend dad was was West Indian and he made a stew that looked like this but with fish and instead of fufu, he made cornmeal that wasn’t in a ball or even a smooth consistency. You scoop the cornmeal and eat the stew with it the same as with FUFU. Was FUFU always made smooth in a ball? I had this like 35 years ago
