This is what the package says and what people I've talked to do and it seems to work, but I've learned over time that you should boil first! Then fry them at the end and let the excess moisture evaporate away! I use this method with beer brats too, it seems to give a much nicer result from what I've found but maybe others experiences are different.

Really?? I don't know what Im doing wrong but at 1st they were coming out so plumb with juicy center..Now lately they are not. crisping on outer and juicy with a plumb on in side..The only thing I can come up with is up the heat from 250 low cook to 300/350 which may crisp the outside. With a dash of veg oil in pan to start. No poking holes in it at start to aid cooking.. keep juicy flavor inside You've got me thinking about this boiling aspect...

Ms. Forde, I appreciate your tutorial on how to cook Italian sausages, but I need to know one crucial detail: Do you cook on medium-high or medium-low heat? Also, how long should you cook Italian sausages before they are done? Please let me know. Italian sausages are my favorite part of my breakfast meal.
@laurafordesvideos4 ай бұрын
Italian sausages can be cooked on medium-high or medium-low heat, depending on the cooking method and desired outcome: Stovetop Some recommend cooking Italian sausages on medium-high heat until browned, then reducing heat to medium-low and adding water to cover and simmer. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure the sausage reaches a safe internal temperature of at least 160-165°F. Thanks for watching!

I don't know how they do it at the carnival, county and state fairs but I have never had an Italian sausage that was as tender as the ones they make. It looks like they slow cook them with green peppers and onions on a flat griddle. I've tried it. They never have come out the same at theirs.

I make delicious tender brats...1st cut 3 or 4 slashes with a knife across both sides. Place in baking pan. Add cut fairly thick cut slices of onions, same with bell pepper. Spread these generously over the Brats. Add approx 3/4 cup of water. Cover with HEAVY foil. Then use fork to poke a few holes in the foil. Bake in oven at 275. After 2o min or so turn them. Give them about 20 min on the other side. Adjust water if you need to. Then I remove foil and let them brown. Takes maybe 10 -12 minutes per side. They're tender, brown delicious. Adjust your time and water as needed. I'm NOT A CHEF. I'm a southern, experienced, from scratch cook of 50+ years. Enjoy!!!

Put a little water on the non stick pan with the sausage on it ( prick a hole on it to prevent from bursting) and cover. Turn in the other side on a low med heat and keep turning until it turns brown. It’s my husband’s favorite sausage or put it on a grill 👌

They are not plastic, these would be natural casings. Natural casing would be the intestines of Sheep, Pigs or Cows pending what size of sausage you want. We would Never boil them as we like our casings to have a snap to them when you bite into a sausage link. Cast iron pan for inside is also a preference. That being said the great thing is that you can make them how ever you like them best!
