Hey you! After watching this mate, I went and got the same smoker. I have tried trout every which way and hated it. I used Cherry dust, and my god it was THE best thing I’ve ever eaten! So thank you buddy 🤘🎣

Thanks so much mate. This really is a great way to cook trout isn't it.

I just smoked some Australian salmon fillets. 7 minutes it took for the thinner pieces and 10 for the thicker pieces. Just on moderate heat. I brined them yesterday. Turned out great.

Awesome timing! I just watched the Bush Rats smoke some reddies and commented that theirs looked better than yours and then immediately found this video where you go and trump theirs buy doing a monster brown trout. As I said to Lee, ‘I’ve got to get me some of that.’ I made a smoker out of an old two draw filing cabinet years ago for smoking jerky but have never used it for fish…YET. Tom, if you’re reading this then prep your boat for this weekend, we’re going fishing for smoked red fins this weekend, I’ll provide the Jan Juks and yabbie berley. Great video mate. Yum!!!
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks so much Glen. I really enjoyed the Bushrats video. They're very entertaining. I hope that if you use your filing cabinet smoker on the back lawn that it doesn't kill your grass. Haha
@glenbaker40242 жыл бұрын
There’s bugger all grass in my back yard mate. Between the dog and the chooks (and until recently, the rabbit) grass doesn’t stand much of a chance. The front yard and the nature strip are LUSH. The smoker is sitting on terrazzo tiles on what used to be a bbq patio area then a pool area (10’ blow up ring type) and now a caravan stage for the youngest boy. There’s just enough room for the smoker and bbq.

great vid mate!!! i just orded some strike tiger nymphs i was just wondering what size jig head is the best for lake fishing??
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. The best ones are the lightest ones that you can her away with. If you need to cast a king way, or sink into deep water then you may prefer heavier jigjeads. If you're not casting far and are fishing shallow water you will prefer lighter jigheads.
