I have been watching your channel now for 3 weeks and only eating your recipes. I love it! A nice technique the Italians use is to pour a little bit of the pasta water into the finished pasta dish and let it simmer a minute until the spaghetti absorbs it. This makes the sauce stick to the pasta.

As an Italian, I'm glad that spaghetti is so popular in Japan that people created their own sauce for it 😊

@@taijiskitchen You're welcome. When I make middle eastern version of spaghetti, I add 7-spice mixture to the marinara sauce. Or, I give a little Greek flavor with more cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg 😊 I applaud you for posting your videos with confidence, since it is hard to please everyone in such judgemental world. This is kind of like how the Japanese adapted Indian curry, to make their own version (I love Japanese curry). Or you could compare it to Americanized Mexican (Tex-Mex, Taco Bell etc.) or American Chinese dishes, or a Koreanized Chinese dish like jajjangmyeon or jjambbong.

Interesting. Neapoli food is more like pasta with seafood and tomato sause. Also pasta with cheese and cheese sauce (optionally with truffles on the top). Never seen anything with sausage in any restaurant. Your wideo made me realize that 🤯
@taijiskitchen3 жыл бұрын
oh really?! didn't know that! and I am sure, this dish has nothing to do with Napoli, lol.
@sayamizuno89203 жыл бұрын
@@taijiskitchen Ahaha. Actually when I came back to Poland 🇵🇱 my conclusion was that Napoli tomato sauce was like "I have no sauce on the plate". Compare to polish pasta drowning in the sauce sometimes, it was shock for me. 😂😂 So I think for ppl who wasn't raised to love pasta itself its hard to keep pasta dish that simple. I mean. Not much additions and almost no sauce to make pasta the hero of the dish. 🦸♂️

@taijiskitchen3 жыл бұрын

@@sabrinacuffaro But it is in JAPAN !!! It's an adaptation by the ppl who were not able to get fresh ingredients (like tomatoes at the time). Don't knock it till you try it in case you didn't have tomatoes but ketchup in your pantry.
@sabrinacuffaro2 жыл бұрын
@@mikiohirata9627 the taste is totally different. Fresh tomatoes are sweet and not acid like ketchup. We use ketchup only with hamburgers, fried potatoes, ecc. It's better to avoid totally ketchup and use only vegetables, or simply butter or oil and cheese instead.
