I’m cosplaying as the 8th doctor in a few months and I’m doing a more feminine take on the costume. I was able to find a khaki colored skirt, white blouse, green Jacquard suit vest and the green scarf, as well as a green velvet jacket :). Debating on switching up the “Night of the Doctor” vest for a corset in the same color instead but not sure yet haha!! Thank you for your tips!! Always up for finding reasonable priced costumes!!!

Have no fear about the expensive gaiters! I've assembled an Eighth Doctor costume thanks to this video and I found a cheap alternative! All you need is a pair of brown boot covers worn over brown shoes! Just wear the boot covers back to front so you get that nice lace effect and you're sorted! Eighth doctor forever!

You can always use the transdinensal sonic toy as the dark eyes sonic since the color is correct and the emitor is the closet to the design in dark eyes

You're most welcome! And to be honest, I didn't mention it because I just didn't honestly feel it was worth the money in comparison to the other elements for that costume. IMO the only thing good about it is the waistcoat but everything else looks obviously cheaply made and lacking in detail that even the cheaper alts have... and at £130+shipping when it doesn't even come with gaiters, it rubbed me the wrong way! ^^'

I'd definitely go with Dark Eyes for this one. I really have a soft spot for that outfit and especially the Sonic Screwdriver. There are people who can do custom ones, but you'd need Magnoli level money for it.

ahh good man. yeah the night version is quite good isn't it. I think the reason's why I like the TV movie one are these, one: I love that costume design of the movie costume. and Two: It was one of the first classic Stories that I watched and therefore it probably nostalgia has a little bit to do with it lol :)

Hoping that you can help me. I recently ordered the 8th Doctor "Night of The Doctor" costume from Hello Cosplay and when I received the costume, I discover that they made the trench coat black not dark green. They are claiming that the trench coat is the correct color but everything I have seen and read shows that the trench coat is dark green. You using Google Chrome? :S And ahhh, see the photos I saw - the trousers generally covered up anything above the ankle, so I wasn't entirely sure, but you may definitely have a point there! I think as long as the colour is right, that's the main thing ^_^
