Just looked at your link to buy a set of sweet stamps only to find they are ridiculously expensive! Would cost £57 including delivery! Back to tracing letters through parchment paper I suppose! Thank you for your tutorials though - absolutely brilliant!! 😁

She has two different coloured eyes! That is SO COOL!!!😍😍😍👁👀🔥

I think it’s just the lighting. There’s probably a window on the right (or her left) so it’s making that eye look brighter because it’s got more light on it

Have you ever baked your boards?? I put mine in the oven at 170 F for about 15 mins and then let it cool for an hour or so and it goes rock hard!! No risk of damaging or scratching and much quicker in a pinch!! I absolutely LOVE it!! And I’ve always used buttercream to stick my cakes on 😱😱😱😱 I never thought about the heat and it becoming soft and slippery!! I mean 🤦🏻♀️ I should have known that one 😂😂 duly noted!!! Royal icing for the win!!

Would that be possible if you use foam core sandwiched between 2 cake boards ?
@tinka3964 жыл бұрын
Maria Rugolo hmmmm the only problem with foam core is that it could possible melt. Maybe do a trial mini piece and watch it carefully? I’ve also heard of people putting it in the oven with the light on and the warm from the light ‘bakes’ the fondant. But I’d be very weary of foam core in the oven! I do this method for number cake toppers and small figures as well! Just don’t touch it when it comes out of the oven! It’s super soft until it cools completely!

Love this video! This week will be the first time i’m icing a board so perfect timing! I’m doing a spiderman cake so making a web on the board. In your case why don’t you just use a white cake board? I only ever use black or white boards for my cakes!

What size is your double sided tape...meaning the width.

Thanks for saving me from soggy icing! I must have done tons of cakes likes this and shoved them smack on top of the iced board. Why didn’t I ever think of a smaller board for the cake?! x

I am making my own cake base using 12 inch cake boards and foam core. Can I cover the sides of the base with fondant?
@zeenat1746 жыл бұрын
I normally ice the boards but Im going to buff the icing out like how you showed and cutting the ribbon at angle looks better so will do that too 😁😁 thank youuuu

Do you use supermarket fondant to lay on the board? Since it will go to waste anyway

I never reply to this stuff anymore but today I’m waking up and attending a loved one’s funeral to say goodbye for the last time and a notification of your criticism is the first thing I’ve seen. This is an old video, not to mention a free video, your comment can’t change anything about the video, I really don’t know why you couldn’t resist writing it. Think about the real people behind the videos you’re watching before you decide to actively criticise them - it’s so needless.

I personally love the speed of how you speak! I can’t sit and listen to slow talkers so I speed the video up using the playback option 😂🙈

I appreciate the talent you share in your video. I was offering construction criticism as I assumed you would want to improve your videos. We often don’t see the things that can make our projects better. I’m sorry that this upset you and very sorry for your loss of your loved one.
