Am currently in class 12th (will give boards the next year )and am really confused with one of the things that should i join the aviation industry as a pilot after doing the graduation or is it okay to do it after class 12th. Everyone is pressurising to do graduation first and then think of something else. What did you do? And does graduation help in this field afterwards ? People say what if I lose my job if in some situation I get medically unfit. Have you seen any case till now in india where as a pilot loses his job because of being medically unfit? Please guide.

Graduation doesn't help you anyway in future as a pilot but as of now, it's a wise choice to wait for sometime till the aviation sector is back on its feet. I was also planning to start right away after 12th, but I'm gonna complete my graduation first. Good luck to you.

@@ALWAYSINSKY being really honest with you... As far as what I have come to know till now is that.. in this field graduation does not play any role! And it's totally your wish/personal choice that you want to pursue it or not.. but everyone's saying the same that it will not help you in any manner! Even am directly proceeding for my ground classes after my medical! And just like you I will be giving my 12th Board this year! As you are from commerce section you will have to give physics and maths exam from Nios and will have to pass them! After that you will have to proceed with the medicals that is class 2 and then class 1 ! Then will have to proceed for flying/ground class which ever you want to do first! Just giving an advice that if you are planning to do the same.. firstly go to the class 2 medical doctor and get yourself personally checked if you are fit or not .(get this done personally not officially). then only proceed for nios exams as if you give your exams first .. take it that you put in a lot of effort and clear it.. having the aim of becoming a pilot! Just for an instance after starting the process of nios exams and passing it when you go for medicals expecting yourself to be fit .. and if you come to know you are failed in them.. then all your effort and time could go in vain! So better get it checked from the class 2 medical doctors personally.. listed on the DGCA website! Also only proceed for this career when you are passionate about it!

Usually, a fracture of that level might not get through... but its best to get a class 2 medicals done (and class1 before investing money in flying)

@@HUNTER_TSD22110 Hi there! I'm a student pilot and I think I can help you with this. In order to become a pilot, you should have Maths and Physics in your 10+2. If you didn't have Maths and Physics in your 10+2, you can do the same from NIOS. Clear your 10+2 Maths and Physics papers from NIOS. You have started your graduation so I would recommend you complete it first and then come to the aviation industry. Coming to the financial status, how much money do you have in budget for your pilot training? If any more questions, do ping me here.

You can get a commercial pilot license. But if you want to get a job at an airline, then you need to get a type rating at some point. For example, if an airline is hiring commercial pilots who don't have a type rating and you get a job, the airline will tell you what type rating they want you to have, and then you complete the training course to get this type rating.

@shibilct5818 - Basically, the options are the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. If you are interested in certain airline, you can check what aircraft type they use. For example, at the moment it seems that A320 is widely used in different airlines. You can also try to find out which airline will start to hire new pilots in the near future, and for which aircraft type more pilots are needed. Maybe you can try to make your decision based on these things. It's also good to follow the news about airlines and what aircraft they have at the moment, and what aircraft they are going to buy in the near future.

Bombay flying club has administrative office in juhu.... its flying base is in small town named Dhule and you will have to live there for your training duration, its a good club but I thought you should know this point)

i would say study like you want to be a pilot not to score high marks in exams so hustle like you have to do it somehow whether you like it or not or else you won't be seeing yourself in cockpit GOOD LUCK:)
