I followed your tutorial, but at a crucial part your face was over the instruction and I couldn't work out or see what should be done before clicking on the colour part. You say to click on common G or contro G... but I couldn't find this instruction anywhere on Figma. Please advise. Thank you

I usually watch three or four videos on a topic, because each video has something hidden, but ... right now, none are working. Apparently, Canva has stopped this option so that we can only use the ready-made and paid frames. I have no idea, but I think so. I may be wrong, I don't know exactly, but I watched four videos on this topic, I did everything exactly and it didn't work.

I tried this 5-25-2023, and this no longer works. Likely could be from the big update Canva had, but when you import the pdf back into Canva, then try to delete the filled image, it deletes the whole thing and I'm back at square one.

So it appears when you open your image back in canva instead of deleting the images like he says, if you right click on the image, at the bottom you'll get an option called "detach image" and that should leave you with just the frame left 😎

When I imported the file back to Canva, I couldn't edit the image. I don't know what did I do wrong ?

I did everything you said to do, but it didn't work for me. When I uploaded it back to Canva, you could actually see the cloud frame image, like is in all of the Canva frames, however, when I went to delete the background image, that I had used to fill it, in Figma, it just leaves me with a white image of my silhouette, it isn't giving me the "cloud" image that all of the Canva frames have. I will have to try again. I am not sure what I could have done wrong, as I followed everything you did.

@@shanicem.3596 I got it to work, It took alot of fidgetting and following his advice. But I was able to do it with other svg files also...that I had not from Canva. I just uploaded the svg into figma and followed along using an svg I had and it worked. Now I can make the frames...Thank you

You do not want to select the color under the Stroke menu. You need to expand the Fill menu, add a fill source, select the color from there, then there should be the option for Image. I had the same problem at first as well before i figured it out.

You have to select the little icon beside the color block that resembles a target, then once you open that, you can select the color from within that and it will be there.

I followed all of your steps verbatim and the resulting frame didn't keep as a group. It separated all of the elements when I imported it back into Canva.

Figma only allows u to do like three for free though. What about after the three free if I’m using a Mac and don’t have power point or word. I see every one showing how to make them using word or power pint. How about on a Mac tho. I have procreate

You can put in hundreds of shapes into one figma, just export only the group not the whole board...

You have to do a different step now to click on "image" in figma, like when you selected the "color" then "image." For some reason it doesn't show image, in my figma account, by just selecting the color. You have to select the little icon, beside the color, then, I think, I clicked on "fill" and was able to get to the "image" selection.

The problem with this method and others that I have tried is that you don’t end up with a single frame. You end up with a group of frames, that isn’t helpful, a single frame is what is needed.
