hey Arvid, I love your tutorials and your personable manner :) Your workflow is very understandable and good organized. The houdini tutorials are particularly valuable to me. Liebe Grüße aus Berlin ;)

Hey Arvid, nice tutorial! i have a little tip for you to simplify your loop fpr the drips: instead of carve use a wrangle for prims with this code: #include adjustPrimLength(0, @primnum, @perimeter, @perimeter*@dist); So you can adjust multiple lines at once! ;) dist and perimeter must be prim attribs. cheers rob
@robertlangnickel69113 жыл бұрын
forgot to mention: with this code u dont need a for-loop
@arvidurs3 жыл бұрын
Hey Robert! Yeah, thanks so much for this - I'll try to implement this!

really helpful as a starter in Houdini. Can I use Primitive SOP rather than MOPs explode Sop. If no would you please share why
@arvidurs3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, quite possible! You'd just need to separate each primitive to get a center point. (Didn't know primitive exists tbh :D)

Great tutorial. Just wondering why haven’t you use gpu renderer on this?
@arvidurs3 жыл бұрын
I don’t see a huge improvement using gpu - definitely possible though

Amazing stuff, i have few questions. Where did you learn Houdini? Is Houdini mutithreded? Dose Arnold in Houdini work better on GPU compared to Maya? Thanks!
@arvidurs3 жыл бұрын
I learned Houdini by watching videos on YT most of it. Not all the nodes support multi threading but most of them do. GPU is still very clunky I'd recommend CPU with htoa

In redshift, what would be the equivalent of user data float ? I;ve tried all the user data nodes and nothing displays the black and white spectrum.. just black and white. Thank you.

From the volumevop onwards, nothing worked. amazing.
@arvidurs Жыл бұрын
anything I can help with or are you just in a bad mood?
@AndreiTheBadger Жыл бұрын
@@arvidurs Yes to both questions. I've spent so much time trying to recreate this only to glitch at the end. I was livid. Basically nothing happens in the volume trails and i think that has something to do with volumevop. I see the trails but they dont change when i play with the parameters in the volumevop.
