5:43 I ask one question to you. Why did you put quadrangulate face option on 3d modelling? Please reply me
@zinteractive
@zinteractive 3 жыл бұрын
The substance painter accepts quad faces much more efficiently and it’s more easier to paint on quad faces with higher quality, as many quad polygons you will have, you will be able to paint much more effectively, but if you will increase the polygons a lot, your computer might crash, it also depends on your specs of computer you are using.

Hello! I get some suggestions. If any modelling is selected phong E or phong in Maya, Does it Ok to paint in Substance painter?
@zinteractive

You must apply lambert to it, otherwise you might face issues when you will import it in substance painter

Hi. Thanks for your videos. I didn't understand. Why you didn't use your first mesh whit separated parts to create ID map? You used One object (combined Obj) to create ID color.
@zinteractive

yes because thats the whole point of ID map

what will do for id maps assigne lambert or assigne vertax paint wich method on work it ..........m confused
@zinteractive
@zinteractive Жыл бұрын
Different Lambert on polygons will give you a separate texture set layer for each assigned lambert, where as vertex color will keep them intact and with the help of CTRL (PC) or COMMAND (MAC) on keyboard will allow you to assign material on the desired ID map, so it depends on your choice.

hello, i have a problem my mesh turns black when i "apply color" to it do you know how to fix it?
@zinteractive
@zinteractive 11 ай бұрын
It might be due to a few reasons, try the following possible solutions: 1. Check UV Mapping: Make sure your 3D model has proper UV mapping. UV mapping is like flattening the 3D surface so textures can be applied correctly. If UVs are messed up, colors might not appear as expected. 2. Normals: Check if the normals of your mesh are facing the right direction. Normals control how light interacts with the surface. Inverted normals can make parts of your mesh appear black. 3. Shader Issues: Ensure that your shader settings are correct. Sometimes, incorrect shader settings can lead to odd coloring issues. Try using the default shader settings to see if that helps. 4. Material Setup: Double-check your material settings in Substance Painter. Make sure you've applied the correct type of material to your mesh and that it's set up properly. 5. Baking: If you've baked textures like ambient occlusion or curvature, make sure those bakes are not causing conflicts with the color information. 6. Mesh Overlapping: If you have overlapping geometry in your mesh, it might cause unexpected shading. Check for duplicate or overlapping geometry. 7. Texture Channels: Verify that you're painting on the right texture channel. Sometimes, painting on the wrong channel can lead to unexpected results. 8. Graphic Card Issues: Ensure your graphics card drivers are up-to-date. Outdated drivers can cause rendering issues. 9. OpenGL/DirectX: Try switching between OpenGL and DirectX rendering modes in Substance Painter settings to see if that resolves the issue. 10. Restart Substance Painter: Sometimes, a simple restart of the software can fix strange glitches.

After giving vertex colour and exporting to substance painter can we delete those vertex colours or Shall we keep them as it is?
@zinteractive
@zinteractive 9 ай бұрын
You need to keep it as it is in order to use ID map, otherwise you wont be able to use the ID maps

did you detatch the object for vertex paint
@zinteractive
@zinteractive Жыл бұрын
No I didn’t detached it, but you can detach if you want, it depends on the model itself.

what is the difference between material ID and map ID?
@zinteractive
@zinteractive 6 ай бұрын
map ID is created with vertex color so you can easily use it as color mask in substance painter, the material ID is created by applying different materials on the object parts which will divide the parts into different texture sets in Substance Painter.
