My Cybex arc trainer makes grinding noises when I do workout programs and the resistance level adjusts to a new level. I tried greasing what I think one would call the fly wheel by using a bar of soap but that didn’t solve the problem. Anyone have any ideas how to troubleshoot?

You've shown obvious nuts that can be easily checked and tightened! My eliptical Cross Trainer is making a clonking and graunching noise from the flywheeel at the back. Would be good to see how this can be removed and or rectified or repaired

Carl Jazzfunking I also have a clonking sound from the same place in my machine. I will try to see if I can figure it out today or tomorrow then I will get back to you if I manage to solve it

I did thigthen the screws at the front and the noice stopped. However this resulted in a terrible noise at the back. I thigthened the screws but no change. I loosened them, no change. I put some spray on it, no change. What can it be? It's a reebok astroride a4.0. Have you got any idea what it could be?

I moved the Crosstrainer to a different place and it stopped squeaking. 😁

The noise near the back of the cross trainer was resolved by tightening the stride adjuster knobs
