Directly below are 3 over the counter products I use to heal my scalp of irritation, burning, and itching, also well as regrow my hair without having to see a dermatologist. This is what I use when seeing a dermatologist regularly became too expensive but in this video I discuss my dermatologist recommended treatment and prescriptions medications she prescribed for my hair loss.
USE ALL OF THESE PRODUCTS TOGETHER!!!!

Many products mentioned in this video are prescription medicines that can only be proscribed by a dermatologist, see above products if you want a more affordable option that will also regrow your hair.

You may want to try a natural, more holistic treatment for your hair loss. In 2018, my crown was so bald that you could count the strands of hair. I changed my diet, took organic, nonGMO multivitamins, and made my own natural concoction of oil along with eating and putting avocado on my hair and scalp. About 1 year into my treatment, my hair started growing and I did a before and after picture and showed it to my buddy. He asked if I had hair transplant. No, it is natural and I treated my scalp and hair like a garden. Don't forget fresh air and sunshine.

Yes I wondered about that as well. An afro can easily cover a bald spot if combed the right way. Wigs worn too often can cause you to lose hair as well and I would like to have seen her hair today her own hair and that spot, parted and let me see it. That would be so helpful to women.

Failed to mention once you stop using Rogaine your hair will fall out again. I went to a well known dermatologist and was informed of that. Do the research for herbs and vitamins and it works. You have to be patient. My question is why treat hair loss and then start weaving? Oftentimes it’s the weave braiding that could add insult to injury.

It's always been known that Rogaine will grow your hair...the only problem is...depending on your scalp condition; if you stop using Rogaine...the growth success stops and sometimes you lose what you grew with it. Gradually, work over to natural remedies...there are many and affordable. Congrats!!! Thanks for sharing!

Yay!!! I'm very happy you grew your hair back, thank you for sharing this. I just wanted to mention, however, the importance of letting others who are suffering from the alopecia to take all the medication prescribed to them. I remember you said your dermatologist didn't know the exact cause of your hair loss, so just in case fungus was a factor antibiotics was prescribed, but you couldn't take the antibiotics so you know Rogaine certainly contributed to your re-growth, but for someone else however fungus may be the cause and antibiotics may be necessary to treat it as well as other products you mentioned. So it's important to let them know you are not suggesting they ignore any part of their Drs. treatment plan. That's all. Thank you.

The thing about using the female version of Rogain is the side effects. You will grow hair where you don't want to grow hair. For me it cause a light covering of fuzzy hair on my face. I knew something was different about my look but could not put my finger on it until I went to get my hair done and my stylist asked me if I had noticed the peach fuzz hair growth on my face. It had actually made my complexion one shade darker. When I stopped using the Rogain the hair disappeared from my face.

Hair loss is such an incredibly devistating thing. I'm sorry that you are going through this. I've also been experiencing severe hair loss. over the last 8 months I've lost 60% of my hair. I just recently figured out that it is from a medication that I was taking which I stopped and have been noticing some hair growth. What a nightmare! I've done everything I can to try to keep the hair I have. Over the last 8mos I mix a cocktail of 10 natural oils and apply them 2x a week.(neem and castor oil is a must) I also take vitamins and 12g of collegen a day. I eat tons of fresh cod and raw spinach every single day. I changed all my shampoo and conditioner to sulfate silicone and parabin free. I bought a silk pillow case and changed all my hair ties and I wrap my hair in a do rag every night. I don't ever use heat or chemicals on my hair and I leave my hair Free of all products. Plus to boot I trim between 1-3 inches off my hair every month or two. And I definitely pray and keep God first. My hair is growing like a weed but I was losing thickness in handfulls of hair like crazy. Like I said thankfully I found out what the culprit was. I listed all the things I've been incorporating Just in case there is anything you may not have known about that you may want to try. Laser hair therapy caps are very successful for hair growth but again if you stop using them the hair you gained will fall out back to the condition prior to using it but if your hair loss is permanent I absolutely would suggest laser hair therapy above anything else. I truly wish you and anyone losing their hair the very best of luck. God bless. ✝️🐇

Update!!! I went to the dermatologist today and she diagnosed me with a combination of traction alopecia and androgenetic alopecia. I had locs for 6 years and I combed them out over last summer due to thinning around my edges and crown area. The itching, burning, scalp tenderness and inflammation didn't begin until a month ago. For about 2 1/2 weeks I used almond oil and tea tree oil on my scalp daily and the burning, itching and scalp tenderness went away!!! My dermatologist suggested steroid shots but due to my research on that I declined. She prescribed me a topical steroid called fluocinonide twice per day. Has anyone tried this? She also suggested Rogaine, but I'm not feeling that option. I'm fortunate my situation is not severe...I caught it early. I'm just trying to do what I can to preserve what I have. Genetics is something I can't change. Can your products help my situation? I prefer the most natural to route possible. Thank you!
@sable7114
@sable7114 5 жыл бұрын
@@shakalbahtyah2591 good for you girl for going the natural route. The tea tree oil does help with the itching and probably any information that you may not have had since you have traction alopecia and the androgenic which is not permanent hair loss assuming your diagnosis is 100% correct. Now for some reason that cream sounds like a cream that is generally prescribed for yeast infection. Believe it or not I've never had a yeast infection or have never been told that I had one but my mom would get them, as antibiotics can cause them, and that cream that I would pick up for her started with an F. Good luck to you. Keep it natural. Get away from frequent use of wigs or extensions or really heavy hairstyles and of course you know tight hairstyles, try to avoid direct heat on your hair as often as you can. Pay attention to the ingredients in shampoos and hair care products that could cause problems.

What ingredients would cause hair loss in shampoos
@sable7114
@sable7114 5 жыл бұрын
@@oliviajuraga474 depending on the texture of your hair and whether or not it is oily or dry would dictate what shampoos might be a problem. With dry hair you would want to avoid such things as sulfate because that would be more drying and dry hair is not pliable so will break. Also dimethicone or any of the cones which coat the hair and make it difficult to get moisture or water into the hair strands which is needed for dry hair, again making the hair dry and brittle which breaks hence causing hair loss. Any other chemicals can be drying and damaging, to include fragrance and some types of alcohol that are in shampoos. For me sometimes coconut oil and protein-based shampoos can also cause excessive buildup and hear this protein sensitive can causing it to become brittle and break. Some shampoos are meant to clarify or strip the hair of everything on it which is fine as long as you know what to do to put the moisture back in the hair. Here again we are talking about hair loss but not alopecia. I was wrong about the type of alopecia we're here actually does grow back. That type is called areata alopecia. The type that the young lady has I believe it's the type where there's too much testosterone, it's the same type is male pattern baldness? Hope this helps about shampoos oh, just do a Google search about harmful ingredients in shampoos that can be damaging to the hair depending on your type of here and that can cause hair loss or I'd rather say hair breakage which is still hair loss

You’ve done a very good job explaining your experience with hair loss and the steps taken to regrow your hair. Thank you, the video was very informative. It might help with future presentations if you hold on to something out of the shot so that you’re not waving your hands and arms around. It’s a habit you may have developed when you were very young and you may not be aware of how much you do it, but it’s rather distracting. It could be beneficial to you if you try some tactics that will keep you from doing that until you break that habit.
@sable7114
@sable7114 5 жыл бұрын
I'm happy with your hair regrowth but I'm in agreement with the lady 2 comments below me . in my opinion and this is just my opinion and some food for thought for other women, the antibiotics did not work and aren't needed for that nor did any of that other stuff. She's right about the Rogaine and that when you stop using it your hair may come out again depending on the actual cause of the problem. Rogaine is to be used for life but I don't think you have to worry about that because your cause did not require Rogaine. In looking at your bald spot you had hair in there your follicles were not dead, therefore, continuing with your counseling dealing with your stress your hair would have grown back anyway at its usual growth rate. Postpartum shedding is normal as well and hair will grow back. I have cicatricial alopecia and alopecia simply means hair loss but in my case there was a slick bald spot, no peach fuzz no nothing there. Yes I know that's a double negative I just use but I think effective and getting my point across . No itching though the doctor prescribed the $200 shampoo for itching that I told her I did not have and suggested I go natural and also that I take steroid shots which I think was going to Total about $600 per pop with no insurance. Though I had the biopsy in which area my hair will never grow back because you took the follicles with it , I probably didn't even need to have that . Other women in that waiting room and on KZbin will tell you the steroid shots did not work all they just caused a lot of pain. Yes I had the biopsy as well and as far as any inflammation goes, tea tree oil or an over-the-counter shampoo for inflammation probably would have helped and possibly that oral antibiotic have you been able to take it. I just want to encourage other women to do a lot of research before having your insurance company or yourself spend all of this money 4 things that you don't need padding the pockets of a physician who's just guessing I would hope but I would hope not taking advantage of me. Also there are misdiagnoses, please look for the video of a lady on The Doctors TV show, a black woman, who was told she had a type of alopecia which would not allow her hair to grow back. Their doctor examined her and it was a total misdiagnosis. She could be treated and her hair was going to grow back. Also think about the chemicals in Rogaine and how that can seep through your scalp and get into your bloodstream and into your brain. Particularly black women should be concerned about that as we are 2/3 as likely to end up with Alzheimer's simply because we are women and half of black women get it. Brain cancer is a concern as well. So please try natural alternatives and just be patient and wait to see if it's something temporary like postpartum shedding. Also pray about it. I left the dermatologist doing nothing even waited a couple of years before discontinuing relaxing my hair. Always went to the beauty salon but when I went natural I decided to care for my own hair which I think makes a big difference in itself unless you're lucky enough to get a hair stylist who actually cares about the health of your hair and your scalp. I am using natural oils, I am shampooing more frequently, I believe I have a misdiagnosis as well, I can see some growth though slow, I have waist-length hair otherwise so enough hair to cover the spot and I believe that when my hair was shorter I would use a claw clip comb to pull my hair up sort of in a fun or a floppy ponytail and I think that cheap thing was scratching my scalp causing some damage or possibly scarring. Good luck to you Ma'am and I hope you never have another problem with your hair but expect if you have another baby there might be some postpartum shedding all of which is normal. Good luck to all the ladies out there who are experiencing some form of hair loss. I am not a medical doctor but I am a doctor who has worked very closely with medical doctors putting myself in a position to have to learn a lot in certain areas in order to assist them in my particular area. Have a good Valentine's day everyone! Sorry this was so long but I'm so passionate about it.

@@geezus7629 is the inversion method where you hang your head over the side of the bed? If so, was that effective back then? Also when I purchase the Rogaine knowing that it would have to be used for the rest of my life if it worked at all oh, I read the instructions and the ingredients and as you know it was discovered through a blood pressure medication called minoxidil and you have to wonder if using it would lower your blood pressure when it gets in your bloodstream when you don't need lower blood pressure. Also I can't remember what it was but it was something that I read on that bottle that scared me so I never opened it and I took it directly back to the drugstore. This was the women's Rogaine but these dermatologist nowadays are recommending the men's formula for women. I can think of many other reasons for my scarring Alopecia if it is indeed scarring which is what the cicatricial alopecia is but sort of an inflammation type of scarring I think. I just wonder how they determine it was that and inflammation as opposed to might getting accidentally hit on the top of my head type of scarring. Wishing you luck again, and we're going to just say our hair is growing back, relax, and it will happen. I'm praying too! A woman's hair is supposed to be her crown and Glory so I guess that's why we seem to get more concern than guys who have male pattern baldness although they do the comb overs and things to try and disguise it as well, they don't like it either :-).

You also got to take into account where the human hair comes from when we incorporate it into our own hair, like what was the reason the hair was cut, was it sacrificial, did the person feel they had no choice etc... Remember to always wash the hair before you put it on your head/scalp because you do not know what energy is coming with it. Plus I do see some nice styles & I think put that care & effort into your own beautiful natural hair even if you are just wearing a wig for a protective style.😊

Thank you for making this video. I'm grateful I found your channel. For months I was on my journey alone, not knowing where to turn. In January I went to my primary care physician regarding my hair + weight loss. The labs were mostly normal and I was told to try Rogaine. I bought and tried it, then thought I don't want to b a slave to this forever, since they say as soon as you stop Rogaine-hair gain over! In April I was finally referred to a dermatologist, then came Co-vid19. Spoke w/+ sent pics of severe hair loss to derm dr. He has prescribed a liquid steroid called Clobetsal. 1 month down + the shedding has CEASED!!! Only wished I had done this 6 months ago, before losing so much hair! Your r right, if you have hair loss RUN to the dermatologist.

No I don't think she has cicatricial alopecia that would be scarring Alopecia and you would normally have a clean ball spot, no peach fuzz. Inflammation might be involved. I could see hair that looked broken off but there was hair coming out of almost every follicle which means it can grow by itself without all of that stuff. If you ask her I bet during the. That she was under treatment her hair grew no faster than its normal rate. I'm at least curious about the speed of growth and I don't think it was fast and she's so hurriedly cut her hair to try to make it almost even with the hair that she had lost and if your doctor's having troubles finding the spot and does not want you to cut it anymore that's a problem in itself for it at least speaks volumes. I refuse to cut my hair cuz I know it's going to grow more slowly in that area and if for instance it doesn't reach length where I have coverage I'll always be able to do a comb over just like the men do LOL! I think wigs would worsen my situation. I never wore wigs prior to and since going natural and quitting the use of heat on my hair I did purchase a wig which since 2016 I've only worn four times and only because I woke up and my hair was not dry and I had a function to go to. Sometimes though I choose to tie a pretty turban or hair wrap but I haven't had to do that often at all, generally my hair is dry when I awaken in the mornings
