Be bold in love. It's easier than you think It doesn't have to so awkward.

I'll save the world a couple hundred accumulated hours: the meat of the discussion starts at about 36:00. The only good points made before that are: find someone to bounce vocation ideas off of; and just DO IT: try dating or try investigating the religious life; don't sit around feeling anxious.

Jason and Paul, thank you for this episode! It was fun to listen to, I learned a lot and will read even more about it, e.g. the four horsemen! One remark I have though, is about how a guy asks a girl out. I simply don't think it's necessary for a man to be super confident when asking a girl out. There are certain things we don't need to be good at. And while practising how to have a conversation with a stranger, so you’re less nervous on a date, is a good thing, I don't necessarily think that a man being overly confident when asking a girl out makes him look good. If a guy I don't know comes up to me, and has the courage to tell me that I'm beautiful when asking me on a date, it means he's done that many times before, which doesn't make a girl feel special anymore. It is difficult to say such things (when you mean them), and I think it should stay that way! Maybe it’s a cultural difference. I’m European and maybe you’d think that we don’t go enough on dates, and maybe being confident in the US is a normal thing as going quite often on dates is the norm? I don’t know! But what I was trying to say, which may help American guys too, is that when a guy is a bit shy and even clumsy, it's kind of sweet. There's no need to be an expert at never being nervous when dating. I hope you understand what I mean! But still, thank you for this great episode! :) :) :)

I agree with you, and I think most women feel that overconfidence is unattractive. Even if a guy is shy and a little awkward, if he has the courage to overcome that and try his best, that authenticity is a lot more appealing than an overused pick-up line!

Hi Jason, could you please make a video about Long Distance relationship? It is becoming more coming with the digital age. How can catholic men keep their emotional and physical desire for one another in check. How can we overcome temptation and feeling of anxiousness from the feeling of distance? What are some of the strategies we can put inplace to allow for growth in our relationship?

here is my question... what is a good Catholic woman to do if she is living a pure Godly life but is unable to find a Godly man? My abusive marriage ended 6 years ago and all I have found since then are men into the hook-up culture. Why isn't God helping me find a good God-seeking man? Marriage is a beautiful gift and I have kept myself pure, but I am 39 now and quickly losing hope of finding a good man to build a family with. The hook-up culture has ruined life for those of us with souls and morals. What should i do?

Sorry on behalf of all men. Im currently 24 and I honestly struggle to be a godly man. Also the lack of godly women discourages me, but I know it shouldnt.

@@ajafca7153 That's because men are not raising their daughters right anymore. My Dad raised me strict, but most dads nowadays are not doing their job of keeping their daughters pure and this is why family values are collapsing. And these parents putting high schoolers on birth control are certainly not helping matters.

I am so sorry to hear about your frustration, but I want to encourage you to keep your hope in God alone. I always say that it's a much better thing to be disappointed in some men than to be disappointed in yourself for settling for a guy who is only half the man that you deserve. In terms of finding a decent guy, have you checked out catholic match, catholic singles, catholic chemistry, or ave maria singles? These are good online sites to meet solid men. Granted, not all of the guys on them will be equally devout, but it's a good place to start. God bless! - Jason

Hello Paul and Jason. I just want to ask for your prayers. Mistakes I've made with previous relationships have led to heartbreak and doubt. I struggle trusting God and doing the right thing in relationships. I feel broken from my mistakes but still desire to be better. Please pray for me. Thank you both for your work and God bless.

Adam WAS responsible for Eve eating the apple. Being her husband he had authority and headship over her. It was his job to protect her and he failed at it. He was with Eve when the serpent was talking to her and stood by and did nothing. Then he blamed Eve for his sin. Really explains a lot with how things are now.

I often find myself pursed by non catholics... But I won't date them... Because (I'm afraid too) as I've done that before and it never works out and they always tried to push me beyond my boundaries..... But now I am going to ask the guy up front if he is religious and that my faith is extremely important to me and that my future husband will need to love our Lord... preferably Catholic... But I'm getting old... So clearly that is not God's plan for me... Just wish I had a true vocation. 😇🥲
