Thanks for the recs. It's tricky finding something cleansing enough without being overly stripping. I love the Odele dry shampoo because it's light and the fragrance dissipates. I agree sprays or any leave-on products create a lot of irritation or reactions for my scalp.

I love the odele dry shampoo too and I don't have issues with this one. It is tough to find something cleansing and not stripping. Also what works in winter may not work in summer it is just a fine balance right!

@@KennaWhitnell I didn't catch it. Did you mention the primary surfectant agents in each of the shampoos?

I’m guessing it’s because of our hard water but I’ve noticed that most dandruff shampoos cause a nasty buildup on my hair and scalp. Nizoral is readily available and I find the active ingredient (ketoconazole) doesn’t react badly with my water. Works great and you only need a little bit. It’s strong. Other shampoos I try to avoid are those with heavy silicones or polyquaterniums because they never seem to rinse off and immediately build up on both my hair and scalp.

I use Happy Cappy shampoo for my itchy scalp. It has Pyrithione Zinc but it's really gentle as it's meant for babies. I got a shampoo and steroid lotion from my doctor but they just made it 1000× worse. The Happy Cappy shampoo was the only thing that actually worked for me. I also mix a couple of drops of tea tree oil in with my shampoo and that also helps the itchiness. I don't do that all the time though as it can be drying.

Thank you for this! I wanted to know if doing masks for your scalp will help too?
@KennaWhitnell2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the mask. It is hard to say what is helpful without knowing the specific product.

Isn't dandruff Linked to oily scalp and yeast etc ? Why recommend a dandruff shampoo for a flaky dry scalp ? 🤔 I am so confused
