A lot of things you said i can resonate with but, i think its important to keep in mind that even if you would be the only councious mind in this universe it does not really cahnge anything. It is just an interresting thought / idea nothing else. Even if you would be the only concious mind in the universe maybe that means you should love yourself more. If you love someone else would that really be a problem if that would actually be yourself. In short : Love yourself - Love others - It does not make a difference if the others would be yourself fooling yourself. LOVE YOURSELF BE KIND

Hi Robin! I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the theory of determinism. It is basically the notion that humans do not have any “free will”. It’s been bugging me for weeks now. I’ll feel better about it, but then start thinking of it again. I’d be curious to know your perspective on it and wonder if it’s something more of your viewers are even thinking about as it definitely can cause cause existential dread and anxiety. Just a suggestion for a video I know I would really benefit from because your take on other similar topics have really helped me get through intense existential dread. Thank you for everything you do :)

All nice thoughts...but. If solipsism is false, then try to think of another mind (or anything) that is not your mind thinking it. And to call solipsism "selfish" is to state a thing with no physical equivalence since no mindless physical thing is ever selfish. To attempt to ground the mind in a common physical reality by using words with no physical correspondence is self-defeating.

Robyn my biggest issue with this right now is I read something about non duality being conciousness or awareness or god all being connected to each mind, living through them or something.. so when I applied it to solipsism I was like well what if “consciousness/awareness/god” is just living through me. Nothing about Solipsism makes sense but my brain is so afraid of it it keeps coming up with more arguments

The way you have to look at this theory is the way you look at light bulps from a christmas tree. Every shape and color of the light bulp is different and brings a unique aspect to life, in the same way every human being brings a uniqueness to life in their own expression of who they are that makes life colorful. In the core, the same energy (life, love, ...) Flows through all of us in the way electricity flows through all light bulps. In that way, we are all connected to the same source of life. But that doesn't mean your individual expression is meaningless. It enrichess life's expression, and therefore you can enjoy being a colourful lightbulp :) you don't have to identify with the electricity (if that makes Sense)

@@robinschindelka2117 that makes a lot of sense Thankyou so much for that analogy💞

Solipsism is an impossible absurdity. Do yourself a favour and don't go too deep down that rabbit hole.. it should only be entertained as a thought experiment/stepping stone into philosophy. It's a logical fallacy

@@uk_picker7307 Thankyou, I’m very deep in the rabbit hole unfortunately. I have existential OCD and it’s been 8 months for me now. I had a couple good months but I’m in the middle of a pretty bad setback.

@@CourtneySDawn I can relate I have/had pure O OCD and I struggled with this theme for a while years ago myself then had a recent relapse due to living an unhealthy lifestyle, stopped going gym, started smoking more weed than usual etc etc.. I even have moments where I just feel weird still and confused by I try to just allow it to pass as its just an anxiety response..

It's so curious because to me Solipsism does not trigger anything. For me, it is all about the notion of consciousness being the actual thing that doesn't exist, just an epiphenomenon resulting from matter and energy reorganizing itself in a certain way called the human body. No life, no death, they are just human constructs. Boy oh boy that fucks me up. But solipsism could very much be the case and not the other way around hahaha. In the end, we are threatened by ideas that have zero impact when it comes to our actual daily lives. And daily life, I believe, it's the only thing that really exist. The rest is fear. Either you stay in fear or you tackle your life in your own terms. The way you know you want it to be (if you don't know, just explore!) This is not to say that we have control over everything -we dont. But, in the end, the only options are fear and paralysis and thinking and looping or get to living. That's my honest opinion at least. I'm still struggling, and existential panic hits me hard still and makes life very difficult, but I have also found out that continuing on (as Robin says countless times, thank you Robin) has gotten me to a better point and I am improving. You can all do this, people! Don't stop following your life! ❤
