True; Failures are the only way to success. It is sad that we live in a world where failure is looked down upon. In reality failure is needed to succeed.

Also understanding how to interpret goals is important too. Lets say youre an artist (or someone learning to be an artist). You see an extremely skilled artist and the wrong way to look at it is "I'll never get to that point", but the correct way to look at it is, "Ok, Im not that good yet, but HOW do I get there?" and start digging for answers. Its a simple tweak, but it obviously takes time to cultivate that mindset and turn it into habit, but better late than never to start that NOW.

As always. Thank you, thank you and thank you. For reading us these smart books as for myself, I am not that avid reader of an entire book. So these summaries help a lot. Heartfelt gratitude for you Nathan. Great work. ❤🙏🙂

thanks so much! only recently heard of annie duke and her books are now on my wish list. ‘thinking in bets’ will help me to take risks in investing instead of closing out winners too soon. ‘how to decide’ has reassured me that my decision (to take early retirement and do something completely different) is good enough:-). thanks a lot productivity game for sharing your learning.

Great summary! Learning about “resulting” in the book gave me a new perspective. It’s when we focus more on the outcome of a decision than on the process used to make it. This makes us overlook bad luck and dumb luck when the unexpected happens.

Both, the slow and the "fast" thinking have their place... in a big software project, it usually costs you countless hours to go by gut feeling without structured planning. In many social situations, planning is a waste of time!

This is great advice, however I think you may have flipped the metaphor accidentally. It’s wolf in sheep’s clothing. Not a sheep in wolves clothing. A sheep in wolves clothing would be something good inwardly but appear bad on the outside. I don’t think that’s what this video is trying to say. But please correct me if I’m wrong.
