Evan, if you have access to a laser cutter you could make these, they are really pretty simple to design. If you have any questions about any steps in this video, just ask me and I'd be happy to help! They ARE fun to play with!!

i saw you have 3d printers too! can i suggest a video theme? cool stuff/projects you can do integrating 3d printing and laser cutting/engraving! i searched for some but found no good content relating to this 2 cool technologies used together in a creative way :)

Stark, I have two projects in process right now that are doing that exactly! They are a little delayed because I'm trying to improve my Blender skills. 3D modeling is so much harder than Illustrator drawings! Make sure you subscribe, they should be coming out in April and May!!

Do you share or sell the files you make? just got my first laser cutter today try to figure it all out.

Hi Mike! First of all, congrats on getting your laser cutter, you have so much fun ahead of you!! I used to have a website where I made some of my files available but I took it down because it was all just too time consuming. So for the time being, at least, they aren't available. My mission is to teach others how to design their own projects, because that opens up a whole new world of creativity. There are files available on the internet, for free or a small fee, and you can search for those as a way to get started. Once you're comfortable with the mechanics of the whole process, circle back to one of my videos for something simple, like tokens, pick your drawing software (I use Illustrator but Inkscape is free) and design something no one else in the world owns! It's incredibly rewarding. I spent most of last week learning how to do 3D sculpting in Blender and it was HARD, but I was finally able to do something I'm going to print today. It may not be elegant but it is unique and it opens up a whole new universe of projects for me, which is exciting! Making videos that help others experience that feeling is what motivates me. Good luck, you will make amazing things, and experience frustration and lots of joy along the way!!

You can color fill with Powder Coating and your laser. It works well, and is pretty fun to try. kzbin.info/www/bejne/roDYiKWYodybiLM

Too Old, first of all, this should be my name! Second, I thought KZbin doesn't allow links in comments - it disappears the whole comment - but I guess KZbin links are okay because they don't take you away from their site. Good to know! Third, I had no idea!! I used to own a bunch of powder coat that I threw away when TechShop shut down, since I no longer had access to the powder coat equipment. I will definitely check this out, thank you!! Update: I just watched it, excellent! Also, because I clamp the wood and use it as a jig, I can do all the color filling outside the laser, which will be much easier and allow me to recover the unused powder coat. I already have many ideas for new projects, thank you!!
