Try mixing in 1/2 a container of denatured alcohol. It should thin the mix out and buy you about an hour or so before curing. Great way to make it self-leveling and less wasteful.

Also, look into buying a box of boba straws. You can cut em down and stick into the sugar as placeholders for the coolant passages.

After my first video on youtube so many have done this now. lololololol I have to say Moroso engine block filler, is far Wayyyyyy stronger then Devcon. I'm rebuilding my D series on my channel now as we speak. Quick tip when using devcon everyone fails to do is after you apply it the head must be mounted before is dry. People let it dry first then bolt the head on that's A no no. The cylinder will compress and crack the devcon. the devcon must dry under pressure.

Is it the same with the Moroso, have to torque the head down before it's dry?
@dylan4972

Also I thought the Devcon was better for alloy blocks as the expansion rate for the Moroso is more like cast iron?

Future plans for my build. How do you know at what level the sugar needs to be added not to interfere from the water channels. Sending shout from Cape Town, South Africa

Ok so I'm curious tho If I was to devcon to run 400hp reliable on a b18a1 with all new internals and a b20head built would devcon make it more or less reliable for daily driving

I wonder if there’s a way you can make a mold using an old head gasket, cuz i don’t really wanna do all that sugar stuff and pushing water through it.
@Autosauce

What do you mean? it’s supposed to have coolant and water running through it by design?

@@Autosauce oh I just had an idea of using the head gasket, like the outlines of it pretty much and using them building a mold based off that. then filling said mold with epoxy

Hey man, love the videos but I was wondering why your doing this build again? Didn’t you say you was having overheating problems with the last one?

Closed deck blocks hold better power as compared to open Deck which you see here,from what I read is that they vibrate or move under heavy load/more boost not welcome

I know this is probably a dumb question but why did you use the sugar again? I thought that was bad for your motor

I think it was just so that the mixture has something to sit on top of while it dries. They flushed the sugar out with water
