Hi, nice and informative video. I fixed a new pioneer Z5290BT and I fixed both front and rear camera, but now only reverse camera can viewed but the font camera can’t be viewed. I connected the camera connectors to the appropriate socket on the headunit as you showed in the video. What would be the issue?

Not sure if you went over this or not, I could have just missed it. I have the rear camera hooked up to positive and negative and to the purple wire and the rear camera is working properly and comes on when going into reverse. The front camera I have hooked to power and ground as well but no other wires. Do I need to hook into daytime running lights or another power source?

You added the Camera RCA front connection to the RCA Video 1 jack, is the second yellow jack able to support the front video also, lets say if I also had in a mirracast in my 1st rca video connection port?

Thanks for this video.. the micro/vague 'connections pages' in the manual weren't clear to use the top/left Brown input jack for the rear camera :-) P.S. I've been a fan of yours for a long time.. love your videos, blogs, live feeds on FB.. keep it up :-)

Could I switch to the "front" camera (and easily) while in reverse and the rear camera on? I want to setup a cargo camera for hooking up the 5th wheel camper, but need to override the rear camera. I am looking to possibly purchase a Pioneer deck, but not finding if I can do that like in the Kenwood.

I have the AVH-X491 and PAC RP4.2-TY11 that'll go into my 2016 RAV4. And it sound as though I need the PAC VS41 (or something similar) in order to use the side mirror feature as well. Can you please verify? Or, can you make a video including the side mirrors as well as front/rear cams? Thanks

How would you connect a side view camera that would be triggered by the turn signal. If the trigger connection is made at the light in the mirror, will the image blink like the mirror signal light blinks?

I had a small shop do it, but there's a green wire that appears to run all the way to the head unit with the yellow video wire. The power cable has been tied in with this green wire underneath the truck and then tied in to a light green wire in my 7 pin trailer harness connector

Jamarr Dumas sounds like they are using the reverse light to power the camera. You would have to run an accessory wire back to the camera to power it up.

Another option instead of the mounting the front camera up front could be to mount it below one of the outer fear view mirrors to cover a blind spot.

John Brown depends. We have been mounting them low in the grill on some cars. Most of the time we have to make some kind of bracket.

The boundary lines are not shown while viewing rear camera. those lines help gauging distance of the objects behind the car.

I have a question and its off topic but i hope you will answer. I have a 2012 chevy equinox no amplified system. I bought the dash kit and harness to install a double din. I have the wire harness wired up and the stereo will play but only if the door chimes are on. Once the door chims turn off or if i close the door which will then turn the door chimes off, then the sound will cut out fom the stereo. What could be causing this? i feel like i have everything wired correctly. Thank You.

lester cheng it goes to the reverse light feed. You can typically get it at the reverse light

Will only show an image on the rear view camera when car is in reverse. Could you tell me how to also view rear camera while driving ?
