To all the people watching this who are struggling at any level! You are going to get there! I was at 0 pull-ups just 5 months ago. Now I'm at 15. Work hard and you will achieve it even if it feels impossible at this exact moment! Also something really important for beginners. Don't forget to rest. Your muscles still don't have crazy endurance and you won't make good GAINS if you workout really hard whole week without resting. Good Luck!
make sure you do it the other way around! Meaning you start with the hardest you can perform until fatigue, then do the exercise one tier lower

3 years ago, I learned my first pullup with this video. Fast forward, now I do 10 pullups and 10 chin ups on Pull day. Struggling to increase reps, I've checked so many videos on KZbin to do so. Many of them have great tips but none of them actually give you such detailed plan to follow as this video alone. Guess I'm coming back to basics to increase my pullup reps.
@itsasecret2298Ай бұрын
Did it work?
@ShalawMajeed22 күн бұрын
@itsasecret2298 Yes it did. I dropped the sloppy pullups, only did perfect form. Do it in sets, until you can't even do 1 perfect pull-up. After this, max negative pullups in sets, again until I can't even do 1 negative. You follow this pattern down the other progressions, Australians and active hang.

Hi Chris... Having lifted weights and done calisthenics for nearly 40 years, I should say that you are doing an amazing job... I've tried nearly everything and I should say that your method and training style is especially good for us old athletes... when I was 18, I could carry a small car by lifting its back wheels up and walk like that.... I had this strength.... over time, calisthenics became the main part of my training since its easier on the joints and its better for relative body strength and composition.... And now at the age of 50, having tried nearly every approach in the calisthenics world, I should say that I feel a lot stronger, muscular and better with your training style.... I really appreciate and thank you for all your help and inspiration for the millions of people in the calisthenics world....💪

Pull up is like that one ability in a video game that you need to clear a bunch of prerequisites to get even one. Otherwise, it will be locked and you cant access it

VERY impressive. I'm surprised that I have never heard of this channel before but I will DEFINITELY be following from now on. The algorithm works in mysterious ways??? I really like the description of the movement and then the demonstration thereafter.

I feel like I wasted my time listening to other guys who never even touched on these exercise or progressions except for the escentric lowering pull-up/negatives and using resistance bands. You just laid it out simple and then said, you can get stronger by working backwards thru your progressions and increase your reps. Clear, concise, Genius! Om namah shivayah, we Bless your existence

I've been working on with the advices you gave from previous videos. Before that, I've never been able to complete not a single one rep (without the band assistance) now I'm able to complete 7 in a row. And even being able to complete 3 reps with 15 extra pounds. I've gone from doing 1 to 7 in like 2 months working consistently on the scapular ones, the negatives, and the chin ups! Feel and look way stronger and aiming for more! 💪🏻💪🏻
