Hi beautiful drawing. I am thinking of ordering zest it pencil blend I am in Canada so I will have to order it from UK but I want to know if it is very smelly or irritating in any way. Thanks D
@JenWFineArts9 жыл бұрын
+Diane Chambers it has not irritated or affected me in any way, nor do i think it smells strong, the bottle i got isn't to small and because you don't need much you can do a long while with them, but i heard odorless mineral spirits work just aswell which may be easier for you to obtain over there?

As you state not to do this technique for long hair, (under painting etc) how would you achieve long hair? Or do you simply mean don't use short strokes?
@JenWFineArts9 жыл бұрын
Kyomii Brown with longer hair it's better to do it more in a clump kind of fashion, like you take larger sections which you shade or highlight and here and there draw some loose strands over them instead of drawing each hear at a time, somehow for longer hair that technique doesn't work that well, here is a example of a drawing i did some time ago which has both long and short hair in it, looking at it may make it a bit easier to understand what i was trying to say (haha i am terrible at explaining) mangakasan.deviantart.com/art/Dear-old-friend-462156194

I'm slightly confused. You said you used just Polychromos and Luminance pencils, but I could swear I saw the word Derwent on at least one of your pencils. You wouldn't remember which one that was, would you?
@JenWFineArts5 жыл бұрын
Def not a Derwent pencil but as I only had Derwent pastel pencils and a few old studio and aquarell pencils of Derwent at that time I think what you saw was a Derwent pencil extender for one of my polys that had become to small to hold otherwise :)
