markcrilley , I honestly don't know what I would have done without your videos. Usually, I find KZbin drawing videos unhelpful, but recently, I've discovered - or rediscovered, as I remember seeing a few of your videos maybe a year ago - some extremely good ones! I'm twelve, and I love writing and art. I'm writing a graphic novel, and since it's my first attempt that I think is a good idea, I need to be thinking about how to draw characters. I've drawn my main character before, but I want to change him. Thanks again, LaalByersGaming !

Can I pleassseeeee ask u a HUGE question Mr. Crilley?? All eyes go from the outside to the inside? In other words, even when the head is turned 3/4 , the eyes act as thought they curve like you are seeing them from the front? I am having trouble trying to describe it: but for example, you put the eyelashes on the female eye on the outside of the first eye, then on the outside of the 2nd. This is how the perspective works? Sorry if it doesn't make sense. I am learning so much and just excited while I am typing too! haha
@RoccoDesta11 жыл бұрын
It just doesn't look right on the inside :P Also if you look at your own eyes in a mirror you will see that the lashes are more clear on the outside. Does that make sense?
@UcanDraw11 жыл бұрын

Eiichiro Oda does a ton of eye variants in One Piece from the 2 lines and a dot for Luffy to Akainu's sleepy realistic Japanese elder eyes. Speaking of which Nico Robin appears to be an exception to the typical female anime face where she has generally small eyes as well as a prominent nose bridge. Also I'm curious how fast it takes to do just one panel from blank sheet of paper to finishing the inking?
@poofypoofpoof12311 жыл бұрын
Can you draw a child's eyes? I get confused between a girl's and a boy's eyes, when they are young. Also, how do you add wrinkles to clothing? When do you know you have to little or too much? What are some action poses for females? (That aren't all boobs or but.)

I have wanted a tutorial book of yours for a very long time. My Grandad passed away almost two years ago and today I looked in his old art room where I found “Mastering Manga” and “Mastering Manga 2” books, so not only did you inspire me and help me improve but you did with my Grandad before he passed and I just wanted to say thank you.

Well, I'm not sure if you already do this but I would recommend doing the same step for each eye at the same time (If you draw the top of the eye, draw the other top of the eye on the other eye) so if you mess up, there if fewer erasing and (most likely) will be about the same level and the same size. Hope I helped.

Hey Mark. Could you make a video showing how to draw the eyes of a child and how it differs from the eyes of an adult? I feel as if either my young characters look extremely mature for their age or my adult characters look so young its hilarious. ID REALLY APPRECIATE IT! YOUR AWESOME
@wackypackman111 жыл бұрын
child eyes are more of a round-ish type of eyes aand adults are more like...well....like the adult eyes in this video..may not be much help....its probably better if he explainns...
@YiPeaches11 жыл бұрын
In case you were not aware, he did a video on drawing three different of people; he did male female separately. It is realistic and not manga, though. A manga child's eyes are very round and large, while an adults eyes are more narrow. Everyone's style is different though; when I draw manga children I tend to make their eyes very large and square, while my adult eyes are narrow and very round on the top and flat on the bottom. Also, a child's eyes typically have more highlight bubbles while adults have only one or even none at all. Plus, older characters often have small lines directly underneath their eyes; the older the character, the longer the line. I hope that helps you, since it would be an awfully long paragraph to read if it is bosh. :)
@djquickstarr11 жыл бұрын
