I've been trying to get some small dreads for my short hair, but I'm having trouble making them on my own, and the hardest part is growing my hair back all the way because I have a small bald spot.

Try using a small comb to twist the hair and you will create the dreads

The best video I’ve watched! My brother is mixed and has been wanting to do this and has been asking me to do it for him. I just have a few questions if anyone can answer. In the beginning, was is just water? Anything mixed with it? Also, the twists size in this video are very little. Do I need to start this little or can I do a thicker twist? My brother eventually wants thick dreads.

Hi, At the beginning I used water and oil just to keep the hair wet and the scalp oiled. You can decide to do thick or thin twist, it depends on individual differences, also my client hair was so short that the only way the twist will hold is if it were thin. So if your brother’s hair is long enough you can just do the size he likes.

Mr. Xav easy, just put a wig cap on and shampoo your hair and massage mildly, the focus should be on your scalp. When you done, relock any loose ones. I’ll be posting a new video dedicated to “how to wash your dreads without unraveling.
