Thanks, mate, for your informative videos. One thing I noticed when I constructed my water flow regulator a couple of years ago was that the needle valve that comes with the T500 has a significant amount of restriction, resulting in an artificially low flow rate. I swapped out the T500 needle valve for a different unit with little to no restriction, and the difference when using a small low pressure water pump was significant. In fact, the entire T500 condenser plumbing is restrictive with only a 4mm ID. Cheers from Australia.

Very interesting. I wonder if the restriction is because it is a needle valve. Needle valves by design are very precise. What sort of valve did you switch it to?

@brewingadvice thankyou for you video. I am currently online trying to piece it together now. What would really be helpful would be a Parts list. Something along the lines off 2 mtrs of 12mm hose, 1 X 40PP Coupler Plug Socket and so on and so on. cheers. Keep up the good work.

Hi @sunsidejd, thank you for your kind words. I did write a parts list as had a few people email me asking for one. So, as you have requested it, I have added it to the description of the video. Can you please check the full description out to see the parts list.

Have you been to Australia? I always spy your boomerang. Looking forward to the kale video!
@brewingadvice2 жыл бұрын
Hi @Joshua. Yes, the boomerang is an original from Australia. We bought it when we came over for a month to NSW (Hunter Valley) to look for land to buy as we were going to immigrate. Sadly our son was diagnosed with an incurable lung disease and everything stopped.

Thank you for your informative videos they have been very helpful in researching. I have just ordered the copper version of the t500 and spiritworks boiler from lovebrewing and wanted to setup quick disconnects like your setup. Could you pleas let me know where you got them from and what are they called?
@brewingadvice2 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil, glad you found my video helpful. The quick release connectors I use go by many different names, some are "Self-locking Pneumatic Fittings Air" and "Compressor Hose Quick Coupler Plug Socket". The URL to where I bought them from is here: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003017039024.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.28671802mwCkp5 I use 6mm ID 10mm OD silicone tubes and the connectors for this are the '40PP & 40SP'. If you are interested in also getting the silicone tube, you can get it here: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001704406111.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.28671802mwCkp5 Hope this helps.

@@brewingadvice that's absolutely perfect. The tubing and connectors have been ordered and said to be arriving approx aug23rd. T500 arriving today so lots to play with in the mean time.

Have fun @@NeilHodgson74. The Love Brewing boiler and the T500 make a great combination. To add quick release connectors will help you so much. While I have now separated the Reflux condenser and the Product condenser, let me know if you would like photos of my rig so you can see how I did it.
@NeilHodgson742 жыл бұрын
@@brewingadvice that would be useful to see as I already have some ideas about that myself. Unfortunately dpd managed deliver the parcels with some damage. Luckily the boiler and t500 are all in good working condition. Just a broken tall jar and mi#ing some small bits. So will be seeing what love brewing have to say about it tomorrow. I did message them today but no response yet. :(

Hi @@NeilHodgson74 , can you drop me an email to info@brewingadvice.uk . I will then reply with some photos and any guidance I can think of. I hope Love Brewing see you right. I have used them for the odd order over the last 8 or so years. Had to return a few things and they were always good to me. I hope they are to you too!

Hi . New distiller here . Will you be doing a video on the split water feed for t500 and how it runs . Thanks
@brewingadvice2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeremy. Yes, I plan to do another video soon to explain why you would want to split the water supply on the T500.

I like the idea of a water reservoir but that one from ss is far too small. so me and my parents live on the countryside/coast of the yorke peninsula, South Australia, our water pressure is reasonable but just as much as filling a kettle to make a cuppa it drops by a great deal, I was thinking, I have a brewzilla for doing ag beers and ag spirit washes topped up with dme/dex. I need to get the mash and boil extenders from kegland for the 35lt brewzilla so I have the space to do an 18 or 19lt batch with like 10kg of grain and have no issues. So to get back on topic, after watching 5m of this video I had an idea, what if I got some sort of clamp like those ones with the flathead screw adjuster things and got a hose and tightened it onto the recirculation thing on my brewzilla on one end and the adapter that you use with the t500 for the cooling input. The tap the old man uses for his cooling water is at the back of the yard but he has a flow control on the hose so he can control the water in while monitoring temps, I'll have to have a look at it, wether he can take the fitting off and put it on another hose and then put the flow control fitting on the hose going into the brewzilla with just a strong clamp keeping it in place so on brewday we can adjust what goes into the brewzilla so it doesn't over flow and not having to go to the back of the yard to turn it off and back to turn it on again and when we need the cooling water just switch on the pump on the brewzilla and it has that little blue flow control too so we can control what goes in and out. Could this work or have I missed something very important? Cheers.

Hi. Sorry for my late reply. I think I understand what you are considering doing. It may work, but would depend on how strong the water pump is. Sadly the only real way to know is to give it a try. It is possible though that while the pump is strong, it doesn't have much vertical lift. Good luck, I hope it works for you.
