Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.

I visited Georgia for the last 2 weeks. I enjoyed both Batumi and Tbilisi. To things surprised me, 1) it's expensive (consumer goods). Either same as or in some cases double what you pay in Australia. 2) Very hard to break 50 or 100 Gel No one has sufficient change. I went to 6 places at one time and even a casino refused. 3) Use bolt , taxis will rip you off even if agreed price before you sit down. They will make an excuse to take an extra 5-10 Gel. Generally people are nice.

I moved from Australian in January. Setting up a bank account is super easy. Joining up with a premium bank like SOLO is recommended. Pretty nice and laid back place. Don't expect first world infrastructure. Its still pretty good value overall. Super safe and people are nice.

Unfortunately laws in Georgia aren't working as those proclaimed those should. Residence permits are getting denied MASSIVELY and the reason is the same bogus "you are a threat to the State of Georgia". My Chinese friend got a permit, on investment over 100k and then when submited for a renewal, got denied. He only has 3 months to get it, or to reapply, if not get out of the country. So that's how Georgia welcomes investments. I got my permit over 100k, but my son and my wife got denied (real estate over 100k), because they are ....drumroll....may be a threat to the State of Georgia. There's no logic in how they issue those permits. It's totally random. My Russian acquaintance girl who got married with a local guy, got denied. Threat to the State of Georgia. Just think of it. They actually call INVESTORS a potential THREAT.

What about 75% of the IT Virtual Zone companies which are in dispute with the tax authorities about taxes which have to be paid several years for the past, they seem to have their own interpretation of the laws which is deeply worrysome. With War in the region how able is Georgia able to defend itself and our interests?
@alkriman41822 жыл бұрын
Until someone with better information can comment, I would note the following: (1) The short answer is not very able at all. Georgia is small and its main military threat is Russia, which invaded in 2008 through its proxy South Ossetia. I think that around that time, S. Ossetia went from being an autonomous oblast of Georgia to being a de facto part of Russia. So Georgia has been stable for all of 14 years, but it has feisty neighbors -- Ossetia, Dagestan, Chechnya, Azerbaijan (mostly a problem for Armenia), and eventually again Russia (or perhaps a successor state). There's a saying of disputed provenance that I prefer in the form 'the Balkans produce more history than they can consume locally.' Historically, that history was exported to central and western Europe. The Caucasus is similar, and its excess history has been kept in the "prison house of nations" (Russian empire). While Russia has its hands full in Ukraine, its clients and near abroad are temporarily on their own. Now that Russia is being pulled down a peg or two, things are getting exciting. (2) The "partial mobilization" of Russian reserves (wait, sorry: anyone they can find to impress into service as cannon fodder) that began in late September has triggered an exodus of hundreds of thousands from Russia, and Georgia is one of the few adjacent countries they can flee to. So Georgia has a refugee crisis huge enough to cause a general housing crisis. The options for onward exit are limited for most Russians there. Georgia will really need some help to handle this, but it is not an EU member and none of its neighbors is.
