Hi Annmarie, I totally agree with you that sympathy is the basis of emotional intelligence. I think that all strategies are good if the man does his actions correctly. In my point of view, strategy one is preferable because creating a deeper connection with a person that needs help is the first step.

I just want to ask about much more and many more. I know that much is used for uncountable noun and the opposite for more, but sometimes I find myself say many more for uncountable noun, does it a vary weird thing which make others notice my big mistakes or native speaker say it sometimes?

One more question if you please, I read an email which started with I wanted to let you know ......... I used to use want for the present and wanted for the past. So how is that possible for the writer to use past tense(wanted) or it has another meaning here?
@Speakconfidentenglish2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. Both are correct and both are used. What is often different is the context. _I want to let you know_ is often used to introduce some news, often news that is unpleasant. _I wanted to let you know_ is used when you thought about something you wanted to share but couldn't at that moment in time.
@aishazanoun92932 жыл бұрын
@@Speakconfidentenglish , Sorry, just to be sure. You mean that both of them can be used for the present , but wanted refers to slightly past news or in other words, delayed news that I should have told before but for some reasons I couldn't.
