You mean "empathy" here, "sympathy" means something different in English.

Thank you for the kind comment 😊 No, I mean sympathy, which means the feeling of pity or sorrow for someone else’s misfortune. I know the difference with empathy, they are very close though. Sympathy =συμπόνια, empathy= ενσυναίσθηση

@@hellinica Okay, yeah, I looked it up again. Sympathy in English seems to really have two meanings and one more than in German (I thought only the Greek one would be different). In German „Empathie“ is the word for the definition you mentioned and „Sympathie“ just means "due to a certain agreement, affinity, positive emotional attitude towards someone or something". Interesting 🤔.
