Idk how not to overthink when im worried things im not even part of, and i dont know what to be gratfeful for. Like i dont care if i die, i lived and it was messed up. But i wanna feel happiness and it makes me motivated when someone talks about 'how to' cuz i experience lack of happiness all the shit time. Some people say its easy or "its just happiness duh, ucan have it too" i dont. Im not happy, and i hate to be the sad ans toxic one, i havent gotten called edgy, im glad for that. Cuz i aint tryna put my mood to my look. But not gonna like that would help a lot, to change things into what i want. Like a change would give me a breath up. It effects my eating habits, and everything. I try to be happy everyday, somedays i just come up with a shadow of happiness like a clone of it. But what is real happiness? When u dont even have to create it by thinking. I want it naturally, i hate that im sad

Ive been through this before. Personally my feelings of unhappiness stem from being single. While not relying solely on relationships for happiness, I due go though tough times every now and again. Me personally, I found that a lot of my negative feelings that I had all the time came from other people that I was associated with. I lived with negative people and hung out with negative people. I saw myself slowly start to turn into a negative person always blaming everything and everyone for my unhappiness. It wasn't until I started spending time with positive people that my attitude and outlook on life changed. I recently broke up with my GF and have been struggling to retain my positive outlook on life lately which lead me to this video. Unhappy feelings took over the first few months do to seclusion and depression, but I started forcing myself to go out and try new things and spend time with people building new friendships and rebuilding and strengthening old ones. Asking for people phone numbers and trying to make plans to do things as a detraction but also as a new connection. Ive started working out and eliminating some of my bad eating habits. Overspending and buying things was also an addiction of mine. Well for the most part I am doing a lot better and have continued to overcome my depression. I have my bad days from time to time, but nothing like before. I'm glad I saw your video, It gives me more ammo to defeat my negative thoughts.

I would ask him if he liked me every month and I would feel left out. He got tired of this behavior. After watching your videos I have understand that I can not be happy if I can't find it within myself first. Thank you for your videos. (After a brake up I got to find them)

I have family living in what Americans refer to as 3rd world country, and even though they don't have as much materials as we do here such as computers, big screen tv, and so on, I noticed how happy they are compare to us. All because how close nit our family are, a house there is multi generations. You have grandparents, parents, and children all living under one roof. Even though it can be crowded, and noisy and hectic a lot of the time, I find myself WAY more happy whenever I come back to visit than I do living here. Not that this country is bad or anything, but again like this video said science shows that when you have a strong relation with your family you're really happy. And no amount of materials here can make me as happy when I was living there for a few weeks at a time.

We all miss social ques from others at times because people are freakin' confusing. A lot! Perhaps your expectations are too high for yourself and others. First Sorry for my english :) The problem is that you keep feeding those bad emotions instead of get action, also you don't have a life purpose, "Oh I don't do this, this is why I'm not happy" "Oh live in the now and you'll be happy" Doesn't matter how much of philosophy you put inside your life, you need like 80% of directly experience, let happiness flow inside you, stop caring about society expectations and you don't need pursue happiness, joyfully is natural, you gotta live happy, do what makes you happy, fuck society expectations. I'm telling you this, because I have a political career and I basically depend on how people is going to see me, even though I'm happy. Now would someone not be happy? Just do what makes you happy, don't be lazy and say "Netflix and Chill" makes me happy, because nobody would feel happy after months of netflix and chill. Let the joyfully of life flowing through you, existence by itself is amazing, how can somebody not be happy ? if you don't live in a very poor country there is no reason at all, you know why people are not happy? Because they're slaves from their own ego, because they're slaves for society expectations, because you guys think happiness is a objective feeling, like a fucking goal, almost a decade ago, when I had 14 years old, I had depression, and I can tell you guys, depression was the best thing that happened in my life, I suffered bullying, alcoholic dad, super moralist religious family, 1001 emotional problems and the worst belief system possible, but then one day I decide to change and everything changed. take action and let the happiness flowing inside you, don't be judge anything, don't be moralist, how can you not love existence by itself? (I know why, I have been there) so what you have problems with relationship? so what? let it go, you don't like your job? let it go the only thing that matters in life is love NOT this bullshit egoist love, this addiction to control and sex that humans have, Why the fuck would somebody marry another person? I'm kind of a hypochrite to say this because marriage is good for my public appearance, but you guys that don't have a crazy life purpose, you guys that don't need to care about people starving to death, you guys are fucking out your mind not being happy, why do you guys would care about what people think about you? why would you guys care about marriage? such a romantic act being attached legally to somebody and then trap yourself into a stupid cage of social expectations, why would you guys care about your social status? money? power? Find a passion, keep self-actualizing pursuing enlightment. The most important thing is to let happiness flowing inside you, existence is joyfully, if you are not feeling good to be alive right now is because you care about society expectations, about moralist beliefs, about beliefs that you hold, can't you see how you are not letting happiness flow inside you? why the fuck you keep traping yourself in beliefs? stop holding things, the existence by itself is so joyfully god(the whole everything). I can understand the why of your anxiety, deeply you keep holding this need from social approval, for ego satisfaction, why are you afraid of living? why do you fear death so much? why do you even believe in death? Personally I believe in reincarnation, at this point you probably got so triggered that I can feel all your bullshit justifications, your rage, this need that you have to prove my wrong to yourself, you want my recognition of how smart that you are? why are you making such an effort and stressing yourself out just to keep holding beliefs? to keep being unsatisfied and unhappy?. Well is better trying to prove my point (which means that you at least got triggered) than just be totally blind, ignore and laugh at, a miserable and unhappy life is so satisfying to your ego right? everyone that is happy is just a fool am I right? I'm just a fool right? you an unhappy/unsatisfied person are the smarter one am I right? As in my country we say Butterflies to you ;) I wish you could think about what I'v said.

I would humbly suggest that you focus on doing something for someone else.... a friend or family member or even someone you may not know well.... do something for the sole purpose of making someone else feel good.... the problem for many of us is that we get so wound up with our thinking and our emotions and our problems that we have no room to be happy..... yet there's a beautiful power that comes from just doing something to make someone else feel good... it gets us out of our own skin in a way that can be very liberating.... the happiest people aren't the richest or the prettiest or the smartest.... they're the people who give the most..... if you've never been happy spend a day focusing only on the people around you and making them feel good and don't expect anything in return.... what do you have to lose? I have my happy moments but when I realize I'm happy I immediately shift to anxiety that the happy moment is going to pass and I'll be back to unhappy. I think since my mother got sick with cancer I'm not the same, even though I'm grateful for still having her, but is always in my thoughts like a Damocles Sword. I do find that gratefulness works, I'm trying to do it every day and I somehow feel better, not a 100 percent happy and energized, but still good.

Meditate. it is the best way to overcome this. So when you start overthinking you can be conscious and realize how dumb your overthinking is. My anxiety has completely vanished after a month of meditating 2 times 30 min everyday. I recommend you try it

+Baller Jones do you suffering with certain situation ?
@AHMEDAMAYAJANE8 жыл бұрын
+Hossam Eldeeb yeah ever since my I had an abusive step dad I completely changed I used to be a happy person until he devoted his entire day to making me feel like shit. I was young too 10,11 or so. I was bullied too which didn't help either. Eventually I started believing all the bs these people were saying to me and I became depressed and anxiety through the roof. The anxiety I would feel at school everyday was horrible I felt like I was in hell. I wouldn't wish that pain for anybody. But then again there are people starving in Africa so I guess this is nothing.

I listen to your videos almost everyday on my drive to and from work. I have to say it's making a difference in my negative thinking. Also with a handful of other issues that I've now started to notice. Thanks for all your advice!

I'm happy I found this. I'm very unhappy and feel out of control. I realize that I over think. I can't quiet my thoughts. I've had a terrifying anxiety about my death and the death of my mother the last year or so. Probably because I've witnessed a couple of my friend's mothers passing. I feel rushed and I can't get over feeling that I'm running out of time. I feel like my life is on a timer and I don't know when it will stop. Thoughts like that consume me to the point that I can't sleep at night. I just lay in bed crying for hours. I realize I need to connect with people more. I have very close relationships but not many. I've always naturally distanced myself from others. I should try meditation also. Hopefully that helps.

In 2013 I got very bad anxiety and constantly felt down. In 2014 It got much worse, until I started training and working out in August 2014. I started feeling happy again, and 2015 was a great year, until school started again. Those school months were hell for me, and my anxiety came back. I missed almost half of the school year, I stopped working out, I stopped talking to my friends. it made me miserable. When this summer started, I started feeling a little bit better, and I'm still trying my best to get back to being happy.

I'd like to say that I am extremely impressed with this video. I have always had these mind sets as well, though sometimes I've gotten lost. I think we all get lost sometimes. Being at one with yourself, loving yourself, and having that positive outlook on life and everything, is so important in being happy. I have been so grateful for the people in my life, and for the people who have been in my life as well. Life is beautiful when you really live in the moment, and stop worrying so much. Anyway, I just came across your videos and I really love them! Thank you for your words of wisdom! :)

On another note, I feel that when you poke at curtain people; you're talking based on personal experience because I can see you're emotional responses. Why not admit that you had those issues too? You called people pussies in one of your videos for not having enough guts to ask women out but you look to have the same issues. Furthermore, the fact that you are a feminine person and are perposly hiding it shows a coward in you.

Hi, my name's Freja and I've been feeling more down than usual. I believe this is due to how I can't actually do sports, which is what (as I've found) maintained my happiness. I enjoyed high jump and sprinting alongside whatever else there was to offer but I was restrained by my body hurting. During the past months I've been unable, I've wanted to do sports more and more, but I find myself doubting if I could even begin to regain that confidence and skill. No one really understands this as whenever I'm with someone, I laugh it off or avoid the subject. It's coming up to sports day and everyone is starting to speak more about it, sometimes forgetting that I'm unable and saying 'Oh, Freja can do that!' I'm trying to be happy but it's getting harder now that I know I can't recover for sports day. It's hard talking about it and I usually cry as I've given up hope. Is there any way I could become happier?

In terms of happiness I learned this, 1: if you had rough day, be happy at the fact that you survived it (it really wasn't as bad as you think it was at the end of the day) 2: If you had a good day, be happy at the fact that you didn't have a bad day. 3: Be happy without a reason in the world.

Right on man! I really like the bits about developing relationships and mastering something. It emphasizes the idea that you should always be striving to improve yourself both internal and externally, and that you can always do more for others. One thing that I've really found that helps me get through tough times is to actually help others with a problem that they are having. The appreciation that I see on a friend or strangers face when I've done something to positively affect their day instills a truly magical feeling in my mind, and helps me to remember that part of what makes us human is that we all have things we need help with.
