Thank you sir. You are the only one who can explain thoroughly, and not afraid to😊. So many are so secretive.

So nice of you! I'm glad it was useful! :)

This helps a lot. Thank you. One little O-ring can cause the leak. Sadly, most O-rings will require you to evac the system :(. A 25 cent part costs about $50 in refrigerant. And that is only if you have the tools. Evac systems cost $300+, Vacuum pump with manifold gauge costs $130+, Tank for evac is about $80, and lets not forget your labor cost lol. Doing it for the first time is costly, after that, it is a lot cheaper.
@TutorialGenius Жыл бұрын
You're welcome! I mean, I wouldn't personally bother with the Evac systems/tank, just pay a garage to do that for you (Assuming casual DIY job) The manifold gauges and pump are a good investment, $100 for both.

@2:45 Thank you very much for the information about Refrigerant Leak Detector. They sell it in Harbor Freight for 69.99 (PITTSBURGH AUTOMOTIVE Electronic Refrigerant Leak Detector). Many positive comments about that device. I've never heard of such, thank you.

Thank you I was about to do a leak test with dye .you said there might be dye in already and you was right
@ThamMalaysia Жыл бұрын
The dye - can it clog anything, like the expansion valve ? The yellow glasses - does it protect the eyes from UV ?
@TutorialGenius Жыл бұрын
I already talked about the glasses in the video. No, the dye doesn't clog anything.

Did you pump down your gauges???
@urielvillagran1028 Жыл бұрын
Could ya purge it first; Then add the dye ?
@TutorialGenius Жыл бұрын
What are you are purging? air? contaminants? You can add it when you charge the system if you vacuumed it.

If you have an evaporator leak can you check condensate water under drain pipe under car while running car with ac on to see dye in this.

do you purge the blue line ?
@TutorialGenius Жыл бұрын
Everything gets purged! :)
@Swenser Жыл бұрын
From what i saw, there was the air in the blue that was fed back to compressor. It wasnt purged during this video instructions. No wait. The blue hose was in vacuum. Right right right

I just wanted to know how to add dye and make decisions on dye results, I.e., tighten parts, replace hoses, get a new compressor, etc. Far too wordy explaining ancillary junk.
@TutorialGenius4 ай бұрын
and this is why you're still in this situation. Sometimes people need words :)

Ngl its nice explaining the system so we have a better understanding of hoe things work and therefore know why you are doing what you are.
